Creepshow Rises From Dead

Warner Brothers is developing a remake of Creepshow, the 1982 horror anthology movie written by Stephen King and directed by George A. Romero, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Roy Lee and Doug Davison of Vertigo Entertainment will produce, along with Taka Ichise of OZ LA and Tony Ludwig. James Dudelson, the original rights holder, also is attached to produce, the trade paper reported.

Unlike the original film, in which the stories were unconnected, the plan is to structure the new movie a la Go, where individual stories will have interconnected characters and situations. The project is out to writers.

I remember watching this on TV one Saturday when a local FOX affiliate played it...I was pretty young. I remember a part about cockroaches attacking a scientist and some boy hurting some guy with a voodoo doll...I don't think I was scared but it sure was disturbing.

I know I've watched it a long time ago as well...but I can't really think what it was about. I did notice it's going to be replayed a few times between now and Halloween though :)

King, Romero, Go-esque.... sounds good so far, but I'll wait with my final judgement till I see it.
