Summary:

Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) head to Minnesota where a young boy (guest star Ryan Drescher) witnesses a man vanish into thin air. Upon searching for clues, Sam is abducted by what he assumes is a supernatural being, and Dean is left to search frantically for his brother. However, both are stunned when they realize the kidnappers are human, and using the captives as human prey for a twisted hunting expedition.

1 a.m.? Oh, man, that sucks! It was a good one!

Dean was on form with the snark tonight! Loved it! In fact, I'm changing my sig line to "Demons, I get. People are crazy" as soon as I can!

How do I change my sig line? Or at least add that line, because I loved it!

Why don't you just tape it?

Man, my dad's from Hibbing, MN! So's Bob Dylan. Who knew it was such a hotbed for hillbilly psychokillers, lol.

Somehow, because the baddies were human, I hated them much, much more. I really wanted Sam and Dean to kick the crap out of them. Bastards...

Either I'm very, very stupid (which really isn't out of the realm of possibility) or I'm blind because that FAQ just told me how long my sig line was supposed to be. I still can't find how to change it.

Oh, well. Maybe I can stick with my original sig line. I changed it on tv.com. That's good.

Oh wow I liked that episode.

I agree with goldenboy about the human thing. I would have shot them ALL if it was me, even the little girl. I mean, she'd have to be locked up for the rest of her life anyway because she was raised to not have a conscience about killing people. That may make me sound like a terrible person but that family didn't deserve to live.

This episode actually did a better job of giving me chills than "Bloody Mary" or any of those other episodes did. Just the idea behind it is scary. Although I wish they would have dragged out the hunting part and I think Sam should have been hunted (not caught of course). It would have made it more tense.
And if anyone's seen Wrong Turn, that's what I was hoping their cabin would look like, but I guess that would have been too gruesome.

The grossest part was probably their teeth. Ugh. Gag a maggot.

I totally agree with you on that one. I was talking to my friend about that as we were walking home from the bus stop today. She hadn't watched it yet, I had taped it for her because she had to have dinner with her grandparents.

Over all I thought the episode was a little boring, but I think it did well with giving Dean a little emotion. We finally saw him with emotion and not just anger/a snarky attitude. It was nice. I liked the cop, she cracked me up...I don't know why, she just did.

I will say one thing though, I bet Jared was tired of being in that damn cage. He was in it for most of the episode...poor kid.

Haha yeah. I thought it had some suspenseful parts, like I said, but in the middle I got bored a bit. And the first guy...they didn't wait long enough to kill him. I was hoping they'd build up the suspense some. Oh well.

2 in a row. Sorry guys, but I completely agree with you, prydain. This episode had more creeps than "Bloody Mary" (although I was more freaked out by "Nightmare." Not entirely sure why).

That family was just evil! Missy was the creepiest of them all! And I liked that not every episode plot has to have the brothers encounter a supernatural danger, regardless of the name of the show! Because, there are so many supernatural plot lines that they can draw from. Besides, humans can be even more evil and creepy than any supernatural element!

Does that make any sense?

Yep, it makes sense. :D

I often find that movies/stories about human "monsters" are more scary than supernatural foes, because it's more based in reality.

Did anyone else notice that they said Dean was 6'4" in the police report? It said he was born on January 27, 1979 (28? I don't remember) and he had brown hair and green eyes. He died on March something 2006 and he is 6'4", 175 lbs. Now I know Jensen is not 6' 4". Jared isn't even 6'4". According to most of his fan sites he is only 6'3".

It said for Sam that he was born on May 2, 1983 (same day and year as my one and only cousin) and he has brown hair and brown eyes and he is 6'4". Felt the need to share.

For those of you that read about my possessed school...The other girl that was in the car accident on Monday, February 6 passed away on Wednesday. She had awoken from her coma but she had complications and something went wrong. She was declared brain dead and her parents pulled the plug.

I finally have all the details as to what happened exactly. LaTisha (the girl that died on impact) had just moved to a neighboring school's district so Christina (the girl that just died) drove to her house to pick her up for school. On the way to school on Monday morning, about 7 a.m., they were jack-knifed by a Pike township school bus. The bus hit the passenger's side and killed LaTisha instantly. The roof collapsed and both girls were removed once the roof was removed. LaTisha was pronounced dead on the scene and Christina was rushed to Wishard Hospital where she later lapsed into a coma.

Oh yes, BD is cursed.

What's the story they based this one? "The Most Dangerous Game"?

I so wanted a scene where Dean hits Missy in the face with a cast iron skillet or something...damn lol

The Most Dangerous Game (which is a story I *love*) and supposedly a mix of "Wrong Turn" and "Deliverance".

But like I said, it would have been more effective if they'd done more like its inspirations and did more with the hunting scenes, IMO.

Hey, prydain, do you post on Internet Movie Database? If you do, you responded to one of my "Supernatural" comments!

Yes I post there occasionally.

What comment?

I don't really like the IMDb that much...people there are extremely rude and hateful, or else they just start and spread rumors about actors and stuff. It's very nervewracking.

I actually post there a lot. I don't like the rumors, and I really don't like the "I hate this movie and you all suck if you like it." But, I post on my favorite movies and tv shows. You really didn't respond to this post. I think you responded because I was the last one to post. The topic was "Which do you like better: Supernatural or The X-Files?"

Again, I don't think you were necessarily responding to my post, but because it was the last post before yours.

Anyway, I'm assuming that was you.

I just thought that was cool. We tend to follow each other around on forums!

So did anyone else notice that compared to the rest of their posessions, the Benders' cages were awfully high-tech?

Yeah, I noticed that, too. They've got the old phonograph, the old house and furniture, then they have the "bitch" locks. I cracked up at the way he said "bitch". Reminded me of the episode of Dark Angel with the merpeople when Alec walks out of the bathroom where they've been keeping the merman wet and he says something along the lines of "can someone help me out here. the merman doesn't talk and I'm getting bored." I loved the way he said bored. Reminded me of Michael Keaton. Anyhooooooooooo... *cough*

Sorry for getting us off-topic, guys.

Anyway, I noticed that too. Electronic locks in a house that barely has electricity? But, they obviously spend all their money and time hunting or gearing for the hunt or collecting and arranging their, um, trophies. So, I guess it would make sense.

I cracked up at that as well! He has many inflections of that word, doesn't he? "That Constance chick. What a bitch." "Jerk." "Bitch." "These locks look like they're going to be a bitch!"

Whoa. I never use that word that much! Or at least in one place.

I didn't think it explained the families weird phyco nature plus the mere fact that it wasn't supernatural was dissapionting.it was more like that horror movie out the hills have eyes!!!
Plus the actress that played the cop reminded me of Pastsy Palmer out of Eastenders...(Bianca)

not that i ever watch that programme...
