I'm kinda curious just to see what this show looks and feels like. I haven't seen any Who beyond the Tom Baker eps.

The writing on this show is right up there with the best, It's witty, sophisticated and emotional when it needs to be they really have an excellent group of writers.

I love this bit of the interview:

(The remaining scripts) which were divided up according to the writers' individual strengths. "Mark Gatiss, for example, is one of the writers and stars of [the British sketch comedy show] The League of Gentlemen, which is a marvellously dark and gothic comedy. I knew he had a great love of Victoriana, so when we had an episode set in the Victorian era with Charles Dickens ['The Unquiet Dead,' airing on SCI FI March 24], it was absolutely automatic that we give it to Mark.

I love that it really shows an understanding of just how to make the show work, Know your writers, know their strong points and know which episodes they should be working on.

It's not just the writing that’s superb (Having spent the night going through all these Doctor who thread I'm running out of ways to say "good" I didn't want to use fantastic again, I think I've used it in every reply, lol), but the casting is spot on, even down to the guest stars, which could have been awful but each one was great!
