From The WB (http://www.thewb.com):

Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) investigate a house haunted by the ghost of Mordecai, a man who killed his six daughters during the 1930s. The brothers discover a website dedicated to the Mordecai legend and realize the town is unknowingly conjuring up the evil spirit through the site.

The episode was written by Trey Callaway and directed by Chris Long.

This was a really cool, funny episode. The 'ghost' and that it wasn't really a ghost but something made real because people believe in it was a very interesting idea I thought.:) Interesting twist.

The pranks the brothers were pulling on each other all episode were HILARIOUS! *L* I was laughing so hard for the whole thing. :) Really nice to see a lighter episode, especially since the last few have been kinda heavy, and the ones leading up to the finale I'd imagine might dive darker again since the bigger story arch I'd imagine will play a role in the season closer. Which is cool, I like the darker stuff too. But it's always nice to get a little light along the way. (Every great 'dark' show has found a way to mix a touch of humor into even the dark ones, and then pull out a light ep every now and again... X-Files was great that way. Millennium too, which was on average darker than it's 'sister' show. My fave episode ever of Millennium was that "Somehow Satan Got Behind Me". *L* Such a twisted and hilarious ep.)

And finally, on a very 'girly' note.... :) OMG! *L* Sam in nothing but a freakin' towel! When I saw it, I was like, I've been waiting for that. *L* Now they just need to find some reason to in an episode strip both those guys of their shirts at the same time! *L* *hehehe*

I totally agree with you. I taped the episode because I always do for a friend of mine and I watched that part over and over and over again. Jared has a nice chest. I watched that and Jensen singing at least 10 times each. Jensen has a good voice and I am a huge fan of Blue Öyster Cult, have been for years, and I was so happy when they played a lot of them in this episode. I was screaming at the screen "oh my god, it's the B.O.C. symbol, IT'S THE B.O.C. SYMBOL!" I actually have a shirt with that symbol on it, I'm that sad. My cat was just staring at me like I had gone crazy.

I have a question: did anyone else find it extremely funny that Dean belted out "A fire of unknown origin took my baby away"? I asked the TWoPers the same thing and they don't seem to find it as funny as I did. That's like the whole theme of this show and no one else giggled at it? What's that about? I've felt that would make a good theme song (if they ever make a beginning theme) for SN, "Fire of Unknown Origin" I mean. It's a good song and it's all about Death sneaking down the hall, down a highway, and taking this guy's girl in a haze of grey. I just felt it would fit. Since this whole show is all about finding the damn Celine Demon and killing it.

I loved that the boys were actually acting like brothers. And I don't just mean how they have been acting, but really like brothers on a road trip. It's frickin' impossble for siblings to be on a road trip and not annoy each other. It's like an unwritten law. Especially when said sibling is the only person you really have much interaction with and you've been on said road trip for what 8/9 months? Something like that. (Since the writers seem to have trouble telling us just what month the boys are in and how much time has passed since we last saw them it's hard to keep up with the date.)

This whole episode was pretty good. It wasn't the best supernatural ghostie but I loved the boys acting like brothers and the "paranormal investigaters" that were obsessed with Buffy. All in all, it was a pretty good episode.

I loved this episode so much! Loved the humor. Loved the towel! My jaw hit the ground, and I spent the rest of the episode trying to pick it up again. Who know under all those layers of clothes, JP was hiding that body? Good grief.

OK, coming back from my giggly fangirl moment.

I also loved how lit up the episode was. So many episodes, it's so hard to see what's going on, it's so dark. This was so much lighter. Yeah, it had more to do with the lightness and fluff of the episode itself, but it was good to see.

Also, so good to see that Dean was actually smart in this episode. Some people didn't like that it took him so long to figure out the B.O.C. logo, but that didn't bug me. What I liked was the fact that he could think outside the box. With the B.O.C. logo. With burning down the house so there is no house to haunt. I liked that.

Edited to add, this site is finally coming back up for me! I wanted to come here the other day, and I kept getting a weird AOL search page. Which I hate it when my computer does that. Because, I'm on Internet Explorer, not AOL. And it's not like I was typing the link in wrong. I have this saved on my favorites list.

I loved this episode i thought it was really funny expecially the "expert ghost hunters" but the whole theory about believing in something so much actually creates the thing your believing in really makes you think.. and i love when Dean is sitting there thinking "How do i know that symbol" lol it was so cute..

I liked it, but I think they could have gotten better actors to play the ghosthunters.
