This is devilishly clever marketing. Especially when you consider the freakishly obsessed quality of some Lost fans. (No one around here of course, heh.)

Anyone want to bet that the Alias finale is gonna be 10X better than the Lost finale?

goldenboy

Lost will just be a cliffhanger. Hopefully, Alias will feel like some sense of resolution.

Yeah I'm sure the Alias finale will be big. I heard they went over budget and that ABC is most likely going to extend it to three hours instead of two. Which is cool. And the last few episodes? Amazing. It gets better every week.

I've been sort of weary of Lost lately, I dunno why. I think the finale will probably make me a huge fan again.

J.J. Abrams, co-creator of ABC's hit SF series Lost, told SCI FI Wire that this year's season-ending cliffhanger will be even more powerful than last year's. Abrams, who took some time off to direct Mission: Impossible III, said that his co-creator for the series, Damon Lindelof, has an ending that surprised even him.

I think all this stuff is cool and all but at the same time I feel like it's sort of silly...I watch too many TV shows to devote this much time for LOST...if you ask me, this hurts the show more than anything. One reason the ratings are going down, I think, is the fact that casual viewers are responding negatively to all the hype and the obsessed Trek-like fanbase.

Returns in October?! Damn you ABC!

Anyway, I'm thrilled to death that JJ will be somewhat involved with this season. I believe he was almost totally absent last year, so it will be nice that he's around a little now.

This season sounds VERY promising. I personally felt that season two was better than season one, and season three sounds even better. FINALLY, more action/adventure and it sounds like we'll get enough revelations to keep me happy for a while.

While I know most people are probably going to be pissed that we'll have a cliffhanger and then a 13-week break, I hope the mini-arc cliffhanger is HUGE, like twice as big as the second season finale. I don't know why but I want to be left begging for more, it will make the return in February all the better for me.

Anyhoo...I'm really looking forward to Lost this season.

Bored of the Dead
07-23-2006, 11:22 AM
Of course it was an actress. In fact, i'd wager money that 'Rachel Blake' or at least the Blake name is going to be of some importance to the 3rd season.

Have you been to the 'HansoExposed' site yet?
Well if you do, look at how its designed. It has the feel of what you would expect from a 1980's internet service would be.
Its actually pretty amusing, but definitely professionally done.

Gotta give the creators Kudos for using this medium to its fullest extent.

It's not just Lost. They can't like celebrities, or rich people driving around in Hawaii. So many get busted. It's those Hawaiian cops. I think they're all related to the cab drivers.

The political leader of the area where I live got busted on a DUI in Hawaii shortly after he was elected. He ran his political campaign on a law and order platform.
