I loved the pilot to The 4400, I watched it again last night, It was so original. The characters were all so good, They were so different. I loved the scene where Mia, puts her shoes on the chair so she doesn't get them wet, and then puts them back there when she's told to put them on the ground, Also that scene where she tells her foster parents where they are going to be buried, I thought was so funny!!

There's a brilliant song in the episode as well, I think it's played twice It's called Worry About You by Ivy, It's used excellently!

Also I'm so glad that it turned out not to be Aliens, the main storyline behind why they were gone, I thought it definitely was going to be from the way it was set up in this episode!

This pilot was one of the best sci-fi pilots I've seen.

I love this show i really do, but for me it kinda began coming into its own in the second season. It started to get its identity by then...before the fianle of season 1 it felt like they were trying a couple of ideas see which stick and which fall......i'm so glad they picked the storyline they have.

They knew the MAJOR plotlines, like the fact that they were taken by future Earth, before they ever pitched the show. It probably just feels that way to you because they kinda WANTED everyone to think it was aliens.

Yeah I agree, it really did become it's own in season 2, It really did feel like they weren't sure which idea they were going to use, Like how the spaceball is described as "Coming in for landing" in the pilot, and the fact that it traveled threw space, really seemed to set it up that it was aliens.

Agreed - I liked the show much better in season 2 than 1. :) But I do think the pilot is a good one.

I've only managed to see the pilot and teh second ep. However, this made me really want to see more of the show, but I haven't been able to. Great pilot though, mhm.
