08/24 - "I keep hearing that Shannen Doherty is coming back to Charmed this season. Is it true?" Ausiello: I ask exec producer Brad Kern this question every time we talk — and his response usually goes something like this: "Um, are you nuts?!?!?" But considering this will likely be the show's last season, it stands to reason that Prue would pay a visit in the final episode, right? Wrong. "I can't imagine she would," Kern admits, adding, "I can't imagine she'd want to. I'm not averse to picking up the phone and asking, but it's hard for me to imagine that she would want to." 08/17 - Brad Kern: "There's every likelihood" that this will be the show's final season. "The girls' contracts are up this season, and I wouldn't imagine that they would want to, or should be expected to, come back after devoting pretty much their entire 20s to Charmed. But you can never say never." Kern, who's keeping open the possibility of a spin-off built around Kaley Cuoco's new witch, said this season viewers will see a shift in focus "more toward the girls' personal lives. It's going to be fun to watch their Sex and the City-like antics as they try to do something they've never done before, which is try to lead normal lives." Source: Ask Ausiello @ TV Guide
08/10 - Dorian Gregory has been cut from the cast of Charmed, and Brian Krause's appearances have been reduced, due to budget cuts. Source: Ask Ausiello @ TV Guide

I dont like the fact that they cut back leo's character, that is really bad!
I like Billie, I would so watch a spin-off about her, if it was handeled right.
I doubt Shannon would come back, after she left didn't she say the show was childish and stupid?

I thought the reason she was fired was because SHE was childish and stupid.
And not the best actress on TV, either.

No, Shannon left because Alyssa was being childish and stupid but that's a topic for another thread...

11/27 - "Grams comes back and we're hoping Mom comes back," [Brad Kern revealed.] An interview with Dorian Gregory reveals that there are plans to have Darryl back. "We're going to give Darryl something very interesting this year," [Dorian Gregory says.] Source: Official Charmed Magazine, Issue #8
11/25 - Ivan Sergei reveals: [I'll be on Charmed for] the rest of the season. I know that I am going to find out that Paige is a witch. I think it's going to be a fun kind of episode where I'm having a bad week, so she tells the fairies to stop stealing my keys and tells the leprechauns to help me out a bit, so I, like, win the lottery and stuff like that. 12/12 - Billie will find her kidnapped sister Christy sometime after the new year! Sadly, she's been locked in a cage for fifteen years and hasn’t survived as well as Wentworth Miller. Also, I hear Cupid's coming to help Phoebe find love, and he'll stick around for awhile. Source: Kristin on E!Online

Huh well that was not what I was expecting for Billie's sister, locked in a cage, they really could have done better then that!

Man, I wish someone would talk to the fairies that keep stealing my keys. I can't ever find those things. I also wish I knew some leprachauns. Winning the lottery would so help my out...:D

02/10 - "No." That was the simple heart-wrenching answer given by Rose McGowan when asked if there might be another season of the WB cult hit series. "My contract's done. Other contracts are done, so no. [Laughs] No." [...] When asked if fan favorite Leo (Brian Krause) might return -- which fans are dying to see! -- Rose answered with a wink and a smile, saying, "I think so. I hope Leo comes back. I hope he will, and I think he will. We love Brian." Source: Kristin on E!Online
01/20 - [When asked if Prue or Cole could be back for the back half of the season, Brad Kern answers:] "In my ideal world... The huge problem I have to deal with this year is the budget cutback. I'm trying to save money each episode so I can afford to bring back as many of the regular cast members as possible. Who that will be, I don't know, but my plan is to have the equivalent of a "family reunion" including as many people as I can afford. I'm not going to be able to get Julian McMahon back [as Cole]; I twisted his arm, and begged and bribed him to come back for the 150th episode last year, which he so lovingly offered to do. But that doesn't mean I don't have flashbacks! [Laughs] I can pull back the celluloid. The goal for me is to take the series out the way it began. It's interesting that one of the criticisms, rightfully so, is about the lack of sisterhood, but I'm building to it being all about sisters. Even when we talk about Kaley Cuoco's Billie, we're going to be bringing her sister, Christy, into the show [played by recent Supernatural guest star Marnette Patterson], working around the final ultimate battle. That seems kind of poetic because that's what the series has fundamentally always been about, and that's how it will end. Source: TV Guide Online
