Did we ever hear anything more about this.

Would you trade Rose for K-9 as a companion. I mean The Doctor can always find a bit of scrumpet.

Bring back Romana, or Ace. Those were my personal faves.

Please, please PLEASE say this is true! I can't stand this woman and she ruins every ep for me.

Bring back Sarah Jane!!

All of you, shut your cake-holes!!!
Piper on the whole has been rather entertaining.
I've been totally surprised by how much i like her.
Yes, sometimes she pisses me off, but then so does the respective Dr's.....

I think i remember reading a retraction of this story from the Mirror because it wasn't true

Gee, the new Who without Rose. That's kind of a difficult concept to grasp.

It's official - see HERE (http://www.bbc.co.uk/doctorwho/news/cult/news/drwho/2006/06/15/32946.shtml) posted on the BBC Dr Who site. It's a shame, as I've enjoyed Billie's portrayal of Rose and I hope that the next companion is of the same calibre but the nature of a companion to the Doctor is that they do come and go...the S2 ep "School Reunion" examined that rather well IMO.

From what I've heard and seen, Rose's exit will be a spectacular one. It was hinted by "The Devil" in last week's ep The Satan Pit said that she will die in a battle

Here's some links to stories on this Freema Agyeman who's being touted as the front runner for the role of the doctor's new companion.

Then there's this -

The papers have made a number of conflicing predictions today - Former Corrie actress Nikki Sanderson is tipped by the Express while The Sun plumps for former Crossroads "stunner" Freema Agyeman. But what about some left field ideas? Anyone for bringing back Bonnie Langford as Melanie Bush?

I'm not sure if it would work but what about a more mature companion...Sarah Parish springs to my mind (David Tennant worked alongside her in the BBC's "Blackpool" - see HERE (http://www.bbc.co.uk/drama/blackpool/)) or Gillian Anderson perhaps...
