I'm not that great with graphics just learning. I used to use Paint Shop but I prefer Photoshop now.

I use Photoshop CS 2. Basically, I think both programmes are just as good; it's all about which one you start out with. You'll get used to the first one and it will be easier for you to learn how to work the subsequent editions of that programme, which I guess makes you inclined to stick with your guns. Hence, I am sticking with Photoshop.

I use Paint Shop Pro 8 for more plain banners, when I'm looking to make effect-ish banners I use Adobe Photoshop CS2.

I use Paint Shop Pro 7 but i am looking into buying either PSP9 or getting Photoshop.

I'm not really impressed with the effects I can get from Paintshop. I'm looking for something more professional.

Well for someone who uses PSP7 your banners are way to amazing... Your blending is great ( i have tried and tried to blend with it but i cant...)

Well when I first got it about a year ago, I was directed to a really good tutorial program on the net, unfortunately since then it has been shut down, but I luckily printed all the pages I needed. If you need any advice PM me as I can talk you through things step by step. Blending is easy, you just need to get the backgrounds to be a similar colour, then chose the correct tool and set the tool options to the right numbers.

Anyway PM here or at BB and I can talk you through it.

I hate banner-making. I never waste time on it. I have Photoshop 7.0 and Paint Shop Pro 9 and 10 though.

It's unbelievable how huge the program is, I have had a few times where I was messing around and you find out a whole load of new techniques!

Yeah I know I don't even know 10% of the stuff it can do. And I don't have time to sit down and learn how to use it properly either, lol.

Yea, the program is freakin' huge. I'm constantly messing around with stuff and looking at tutorials to find new ways to do things.

Yeah the internet is really handy with it, like there are loads of tutorials and after doing them a few time you do start to pick it up and it gets easier to decide what would work best!
