Eccleston vs Tennant

I was gonna ask this question as soon as I saw more of the new Doctor, I haven’t seen enough to judge the two. But I love Eccleston, I think he is a fantastic actor, He's facial expressions are just brilliant. He just plays the Doctor so well, he has this enthusiasm about him that’s great. although I'm glad to hear that Tennant is good also, the small amount I have seen of him was good!

I love 'em both. I wish we could've seen more of Chris but I am really enjoying David's Doctor and getting very excited about this week's ep (Doomsday)

I loved Eccles but i didn't get to see more of him because he left after series one so got to love David Tennent as his doctor is soo funny it was difficult to choose but i chose DT.

I am really surprised with my answer, since I hadn't seen any of season 2 I was convinced there was no way David was going to be as good as Chris. But now that I have, I think David is a brilliant Doctor, he is so funny and can pull of the Doctor so well.

Both of them are really amazing actors!

Wasn't there an episode one time where all the doctors met. Wouldn't an episode called The Two Doctors be fun - where Eccleston meets Tenant?

Tennant for me every time. Just think he suits the part more than Eccleston.

(I still think Pertwee is the best Dr ever though!)

That would be absolutely incredible!! It would probably be the funniest episode ever, to see the two of them working off each other!

See, I'm loving David Tennant. His Doctor is really funny and often intimidating...but he lacks something that Chris Eccleston has.

I can't put my finger on it, but i can tell you the episode to watch to see it....Dalek.
The way CE handles that episode is just marvellous. It really is one of the finest performances of any Doctor.

i love em both but it is hard to choose though i keep comparing them both trying to imagine Ecclescakes in Tennents eppy's and it wouldn't work, eppy's from season one were for Ecclescakes and eppy's from s2 were for Tennent,
so they must of written the episodes especially for the actor to suit their version. plus they are both just as good. Mind you Ecclescakes does have the Doctor look about him where as Tennent you need to get used to it.

Yeah that’s very true I couldn't picture them in each other’s episodes. The episodes really do suit each of the actors.

I totally agree! And that totally shocked me, cuz while I was watching season 1 I thought there is no way anyone could beat Eccleston's enthusiasm, but Tennant not only matched it but was better in my opinion!
