What did you think of Season 1 on the whole?
I thought it was quite good. It started out alright, not too high quality, but it gradually grew better as the story progressed. I managed to like most or all of the characters. Only one who bugged me was Troy.

I loved season 1 it was really good, I loved how different it was and how it dealt with so many issues on a metaphorical level, so like Buffy.

I liked it from the first episode - one of the better shows I'd seen in a while. Especially as the new shows last year here were pretty crap.

I can't actually think of any shows that started last year... that should tell you something ;)
Although it can never be just as good as Buffy, I agree that there was a lot going on on metaphorical level.

I didn't really know where to post my very first impressions on Hex, so I'll post them here.
Yesterday I watched 3 epis of Hex (the 3rd, 4th and 5th) and I like it. It's a bit less action than in Buffy but it's good.
My favourite characters are Azazeal and Thelma. I hope the next epis are going to be better and better!!! :D

Watching the pilot of HEX reminds me a LOT of Point Pleasant - both are teen melodrama "horror" shows, lol, and they share some other elements too.
I like season one - it took a while to get used to it because I've never gotten into a UK show before but it's really good - but I hate that all the mythology and arcs introduced in season one are all but forgotten, with Cassie gone.
I just finished watching the first episode. It's all right. It's well done. I expect it to get better when stuff starts to happen.
I don't understand all the Buffy comparisons. I don't see any Buffy in this at all yet. The one it reminds me of right now is Witchblade.

My thoughts on that is it is a show about a strong female who has "super powers" who fights "evil".

I also noticed some comparisons between Hex and Point Pleasant, although I found Hex easier to get into.
I loved the concept and the history behind it. I'm really interested in stuff like that and I felt Hex pulled it off really well, without drowning it in too much backstory. I loved the egyptian introduction towards the end of the series.
Azazeal is a great character, all evilly seductive. I really find myself wanting to believe that he really cares for Cassie and isn't just after bringing about all hell on earth...lol...
It was an amazing cliff hanger. I can't wait to see where they go with it :)
See the first season only went for a few episodes and was great, the second goes for longer and i lost interest half way becuase it dragged on.
These are the better years, before the characters got more complecated in the plot.
Plus it had a very down to earth respect. buffy was all about special effects and demons and the such.
But hex hides alot of it, sure we see the odd angel here and there and the demons but it focuses more on the human side of the supernatural which i liked about it.
