I'm getting really nervous about the second season of Supernatural. I'm scared that the show is going to try to go a new direction. Maybe on the influence of The CW. But reading spoilers about the upcoming season...I'm afraid it's going to turn more into "Angel" than what it was pitched as. It sounds like in season two the boys will interact with some supernatural creatures on a non-hunting basis and more in the way there were friendly demons on Angel and Buffy.
Now, there's nothing wrong with that for THOSE shows, but I'll be extrememly upset if the show changes what it's about. I want it to stick with the horror movie formula, even though it only sometimes succeeds in being scary. I don't really want the boys being friends with vampires. I want to see the hunt things down and do some ass kicking.
Hopefully I'm getting the wrong impression from the spoilers, but I think if this show does change formats it might backfire and the show won't last for a third year.
