Favourite Sci-Fi/Fantasy Character?

So the worlds created in Sci-Fi and Fantasy Shows, Movie, Books, whatever are huge and usually come with some of the most unique characters ever. Which one would you pick as your all time favourite? (It can be from any anything)

Favourite Sci-Fi/Fantasy Character? Personally My favourite character would be Willow, from Buffy the vampire Slayer, I though she was one of the most brilliant characters on TV!

Second would be River, from Firefly, I thought her character was so funny, and if the show had gone on further I could see her becoming a possible favourite, if they had explored the character more.

Oh my... now that is a really hard question. Buffy and Angel had a lot of great characters... but there's also Star Trek which had many great characters... Perhaps I'll try for a short list in no particular order.

John Crichton from Farscape, because he's just funny, charming, tough, a little bit insane, and so much fun.

Rygel from Farscape, I know he's a puppeted character, but he's still a character, and a damn amusing one at that. *L*

Fox Mulder of the X-Files, funny, dead pan, and the way he was played was just great. I adored X-Files and it's characters.

Alex Kyrcek of X-Files, I think he's got to be one of my favorite bad guys on a show, ever. He was just so wonderfully deciteful. He double crossed everyone he ever came into contact with on that show. *L*

Lindsey of Angel, probably my other very favorite bad guy character. *L* Deliciously wicked, yet with an occational conscience that was just enough to throw everyone else off.

Oh boy...

John Crichton from Farscape - the epitomy of our best and worst traits - what we hope to be, and what we can be when pushed to the limits
Aeryn from Farscape - a stronge female who can also be nurturing and loving without losing her badass self
Alec from Dark Angel - tortured for his twin, failures and existance, lived in a cage for 20 years... yet he's much more stable than other x5s who've been out in the world for 10 years, and he has a sense of humour
Angel - been to hell and back, never stops growing and losing his way, but somehow, he keeps fighting the good fight
Fred + Illyria from Angel - from normal to crazy to sweet to genius to dead to hell goddess... gal goes through the works and somehow keeps ticking

Buffy - For me it just doesn't get any better than this - a truly awe-inspiring character.

From my childhood I'd have to pick Dr Who, especially with Jon Pertwee playing the role. I loved the Fox Muldar character and the pairing with Dana Scully was superb. I must admit, I don't find myself watching the show much these days but I did check out a few season one episodes recently.

This could get out of hand if I started to give it more thought and picked a few names from books and films. Perhaps I could just add Arnold Rimmer from 'Red Dwarf' (does that count?) I haven't seen it in a very long time but he did make me laugh.

Oh, and I must give a namecheck to Christina Nickson. 'Point Pleasant' is the reason I found this site.
