I know you guys most likely have anything in here already posted as a spoiler, but I like the way this executive producer guy puts it. He makes me want to see Season 6.

Al Gough, executive producer of Smallville, told The Continuum that the show is going to make a big splash for its sixth season -- and first on The CW.

"We've got everything crossed we can possibly have crossed for the launch of Season 6 and the new CW network," Gough told The Continuum. "I can honestly tell you that this will be our biggest season opener in Smallville history.

"You are going to see inside the Phantom Zone, you are going to see Zod, you are going to see Jimmy Olsen, as well as an incredible amount of action, spectacle, humor and, of course, heart."

Smallville actually makes its CW debut on Thursday with a repeat of "Vessel," last season's finale. The sixth-season opener, "Zod," will air on Thursday, Sept. 28.

The CW combines the old WB and UPN networks, and in some markets as large as Detroit, the series will be on a new channel.

"The show remains on Thursday at 8 p.m., and in most of the country -- 67 percent to be exact -- it will be on the same channel," Gough said. "For everyone in markets where the network is switching, please consult the CW website for the local listing. Hopefully they've been blitzing the airwaves with the info...so please watch and tell all of your friends!"

Sounds great, will be watching if I can catch up with season five on time. Although I have to say, a lot of times "Smallville" leaves me underwhelmed, it will have a five-star season opener, a few average episodes, one or two extremely dull episodes, a couple of REALLY good ones, a few interesting cliffhangers, some more super dull episodes, and then the last few get better and better and then the season finale is kick-ass. I think Supernatural is more consistently better so to be honest I'm much more excited about that.

Although I must admit, I am not a Superman fan usually. Smallville and Superman Returns are exceptions.

I am SO excited. "Kal-El, kneel before Zod." YEAH! lol

You can't say Supernatural is consistently better. It's had one season. Smallville has had five. Of COURSE there are going to be episodes that aren't as good as others over the course of five seasons.

Wow Vil....either you REALLY are excited about the new series or you had some problems.

I must also say, although I agree with Prydain that SOMETIMES midway through a season Smallville starts to slow down and lose my interest(it always pulls me back mind) I have to agree with Vil on the Consistency thing.

One season of a show, you can't compare.
Personally, Supernatural bores the crap out of me. If i simply contrasted season 1 Smallville and Season 1 Supernatural, then no contest, Smallville wins. It must do, because i watched(and enjoyed) that entire season and anticipated the second, Supernatural, bored the crapola out of me(and I watched about 80% of season 1 so top give its a proper chance - coincidently it played while nothing else was on) and I really won't be bothered by its return.

Vil that was the weirdest post. Ever.

And I'm comparing one season of Supernatural to any one season of Smallville. Except for maybe season four, season four is by far the best.

But not a single episode of Supernatural has bored me with the exception of "Route 666", which is AWFUL.

But anyway, season one of Smallville had some boring episodes, more than one, Supernatural didn't. But then again season one is my favorite season behind four.

Although I guess it's a possibility Supernatural could suffer in season two, but from clips I've seen and stuff I've read I think it may be better than season one.

Can't wait for Supernatural!

Looking forward to Smallville but I can wait!

I wonder why your opinions lack any weight with me?

Not one episode bored me except one episode......you have no idea what you want to say.
This single line suggest that there is little thought goes into your comments, you just see a blank screen and try to fill it with rambling nonsense.
I mean if you contradict yourself over the space of an entire conversation, fair game....we all do that, but to do it in the same sentence....for shame

Yeah my internet was wigging out on me.

I also think there is a crucial difference between watching a series in a marathon on DVD and watching a show as it was meant to be seen one episode a week.

Personally, at this point in time, I could never see Supernatural again and be perfectly happy.

Well BotD *PLEASE* point out in the first post where I SAID that NOT ONE EPISODE of Supernatural was boring. I said OVERALL it's less boring, which means that saying I found ONE episode in ONE season boring compared to MULTIPLE episodes in ONE season of Smallville.

And for that ONE SENTENCE, you cannot honestly tell me you've never heard other people say EXCEPT before. That is not contradicting myself. To say "I enjoyed all of them EXCEPT one"? That means ALL of them were good EXCEPT ONE! Maybe YOU don't say that but here, most people do.

Done:)

Notice i have highlighted the part where you said that not a single episode of Supernatural bored you:)

Hope that helps you realise where you STATED that not one single episode of Supernatural bored you except one episode.

No, quite clearly you stated 'not a single episode of Supernatural has bored me' then in the same sentence made yourself out to be a liar by contradiction and saying 'with the exception of "Route 666", which is AWFUL.'.

Now I assume English is your first language, but if thats not the case then fair enough.

If you had said, 'During that entire season, with the exception of 'yadda yadda', I did not get bored' then you would have a case, but you didn't..'but not a single episode of Supernatural has bored me with the exception of "Route 666", which is AWFUL.'.

There you go Sparky.....enjoy

On Topic people :)

I just saw the Season 5 finale tonight, I've only watched season 5, and there were a few boring episodes and some really good ones, but the finale was very cool. I'll definitely be adding this show to my watch each week routine, as well as getting all the seasons to catch up on what I've missed.

Does Chloe fancy Clarke, and I just haven't picked up on it cuz I haven't been watcher super regularly, or was that kiss between them just a kiss and noting more?

BotD, I'm telling you. Most people - I dunno about you guys - but I know lots of people who talk like that. You're not reading the entire sentence as a whole.

But not a single episode of Supernatural has bored me with the exception of "Route 666", which is AWFUL.

That means I liked all of the episodes EXCEPT one...that's what the word except exists for. Or maybe it's just how people in my region talk. Maybe that's why you think I'm always contradicting myself, but I'm not necessarily.

Hey Vil I started finishing up season four, and I gotta say these episodes are by far the best of the series...please please please tell me season five is just as good? Or better?

Do you own seasons 1-4?

I'm hoping to finish season four by Saturday afternoon, and then buy season five, and HOPEFULLY manage to watch all 22 episodes before Thursday.
