Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) listen to a message on John’s (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) cell phone from a woman named Ellen (guest star Samantha Ferris) and decide to track her down. They are shocked to discover Ellen runs a road house that also serves as a gathering place for hunters like themselves. Meanwhile, at a small town carnival, a clown is persuading children to let them into their home so he can murder their parents.
John Shiban wrote the episode directed by Phil Sgriccia.
Due to having no TV I can't watch it until tomorrow. :(

Creepy creepy creepy. Despite hating clowns I thought this was a really good episode. Liked the new characters a lot and thought they built up the suspense really well :)

Was Alona Tal (Jo) any good? She was AWESOME on Veronica Mars, but I know you don't watch that...I'm just dying to know what kind of job she did on this because she's one of my favorite actresses.

I liked her (and no, never seen her before). I wouldn't mind having her a regular on the show. :)

Whoo-hoo. Then I really have faith now. If fans like her enough she'll probably become MORE regular next year, I doubt she'll ever be an every episode person.
Are you finding this season to be better than last year - well comparing the quality of the two aired episodes of this season to the twenty-two aired episodes of season one. lol

I don't know...compared to last year at this time probably no. Compared to last year as a whole yes, but only because it's got two episodes. SN started to lose me second half of last season.

Same here actually...I sort of grew away from it around "Scarecrow" and then got back into it around "Something Wicked" but still wasn't the biggest fan, then over the summer I rewatched it and it completely won me over...watching the DVDs was a blast.
And now I'm like that with Roswell, I lost interest after season one even though it was good, I forced myself to continue and now midway through season 2 I'm HOOKED.

In Roswell I never like the skins episodes or the crazy Laurie DuPree ones, but loved the rest of the season. :)

Can't go wrong with creepy clowns, huh? Those kids sneaking him into their homes must've been mesmerized or just plain dumb? Lol. Wasn't paying enough attention...
I liked the two new women. Spunky. Good actors.

You didn't like "Harvest" or "Wipeout!"? I loved those, lol. Is it true that season three is the worst season of them all?
And this frakin' Internet refuses to stay connected long enough for me to be able to get Supernatural or Lost, or even watch Lost on ABC.com. I am about to murder someone! UH.

I didn't hate them, but I didn't think they were the best. Laurie DuPree annoyed the hell out of me though lol
Season 3 is different, but I liked it. The finale is awesome imo :)

All I got to say is Patrick Swayze is too much of a wuss to walk into that Roadhouse!
Blond chick has a vicious right hook, sweet. Ash's mullet officially puts SN into the redneck must see tv category. Ever notice that guy always plays a genius of some kind?
Was it just me or did the clown look a little like the Clown in It, by Stephen King? One thing I liked was when they were in the mini-van they did not use the classic rock songs. Plus it was funny as hell seeing Dean driving it, lol.
I really like the direction the 2nd season is going thus far.

Shame on Dean making fun of Sam for being afraid of Clowns....and forcing him to sit in that awful clown chair, personally I would have stood.
Creeped the hell outta me, see parents thats what you get for telling your kids that clowns are their friends, but don't you also tell them not to talk to strangers? But clowns are ok! Hmm well you get whats coming to you then!
I did like how they showed the different ways the brothers are attempting to deal with the loss of their father.

Best exchange of the episode:
Dean: "Planes crash!"
Sam: "And clowns kill!"

I'm liking Sam more and more so far, especially from this episode.

Loved this episode, Clowns don't creep me out but this one was really well done, it actually was kinda creepy! The story was handeled very well concidering it could have been so cheesy!
Dean makeing sam sit in the clown chair was so funny. And Alona Tal was brillient! I really hope they make her a regular, I stopped watching halfway through last year and then watched the whole second half at the end of the summer, mainly because I was bored of the same two male characters, they seriously needed to add a good female character. I really liked the mother aswell!
I didn't hate them, but I didn't think they were the best. Laurie DuPree annoyed the hell out of me though lol

Totally agree, I thought those Laurie DuPree episodes were so random!

I'm finding the first three episodes intenser than last season. Now, I'm hoping the intensity will keep up because this will be one roller coaster year if they can!

Just when I thought I'd gotten over my clown fear I watch an episode like this. Well at least I share the same fear as Sam (that scene was hillarious in the car).
First off, how stupid were them children, letting the scary clown in!!
The scene were they burnt their father was so sad. Sam looks heart broke and Dean just looks shocked. I love when bad boys try and act like nothing is bothering them and Dean pulls it off really well.
The scene were Bobby's given Dean that car was hillarious. When Dean says he feels like a soccor mom...lol...
It was another great episode!!
