A HOST of stars have been signed up for the movie version of Irvine Welsh's controversial novel Ecstasy.

Filming of the Trainspotting writer's book starts next month in Scotland.

And the cast, including Smallville star Erica Durance, are lined up for some steamy scenes.

Erica said yesterday: "This is a story revolving around the love drug ecstasy. And it's fair to say that just about everyone is going to end up naked at some point in the movie."

The 28-year-old Canadian, who recently graced the front cover of the 200th edition of FHM magazine, is better known as Superman's girlfriend Lois Lane in the hit TV series.

Erica will star alongside Hollyoaks pin-up Elize Du Toit, 25. And Welsh himself will make an appearance.

Richard E Grant and Trevor Eve will also star alongside a host of home-grown actors.

Tony Curran, Billy Boyd, Gary Lewis, Jenni Falconer and Bill Paterson all feature, as will Chewin' The Fat trio Ford Kiernan, Greg Hemphill and Karen Dunbar.

And there are hopes that the team will clinch Shakespeare In Love star Joseph Feinnes for the lead role of Edinburgh drug dealer Lloyd.

* Smacks BEG * - Got out and watch Trainspotting again. Now! Right now!

Where is that from? As a) Lois Lane in Smallville is NOT Superman's girlfriend and b) it's spelled Fiennes.

Wonder who's directing?

Oops sorry! I added the source to my original post!

Transpotting is one of the ones I'v always been meaning to see again, but never have :(

According to it's IMDB page (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0462269/) it's being directed by Rob Heydon (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1406806/)

First of all, thats not an accurate discription of Lois Lane in Smallville.
That is Lois Lane from the Movies which if you know both know that they are two different characters at the moment. I hate journalists who write stuff that they obviously know nothing about.

'She plays Lois Lane in Smallville, in that Christopher Reeves Film Lois was Supermans bit of Crumpet ergo Lois in Smallville is Supermans Girlfriend.'

Anyway onto the actual topic.
Loved Trainspotting, so fingers crossed for this.
Also any movie that has the words 'Erica', 'Durance' and 'Steamy' as well as the most magnificent of comments 'just about everyone is going to end up naked' has me already buying a ticket....yeeowser.

No, I meant Eric, of 29 Acacia Road. And this Eric is a schoolboy who leads an exciting double life. For when Eric eats a banana, an amazing transformation occurs. Eric is Bananaman. Ever alert for the call to action!

LOL, as much as its relatively funny, I can also see a possible wrongness to me suggesting you'd get excited to a school boy eating a 'banana' and becoming Bananaman.....but, what you gonna do?

Well I won't see this because I like Erica Durance and I'm pretty sure I won't like her very much after seeing a movie like this, lol. I don't like drug-related movies anyway.
