Best & Worst other characters - Season 1

I'm spliting up season one and two for this, since that way for like UKers, ya'll can participate here, but stay clear of the other thread. *L*

This isn't a poll, it's a discussion. But I'm curious to know what characters, besides Sam, Dean, and John, everyone liked the most and least. This includes recurring people like Meg, and one shot characters such as Cassie, Sarah, Michael, etc...

I'd say one of my favorites (there are more) *L* of the season was Michael, he was the little boy who's brother was sick. He was cute and that attitude. And I have to say I enjoy the way our guys, Dean especially interacts with the kids on this show. It's an interesting piece to Dean's personality. I liked that Dean saw a lot of himself I think in this little kid.

As for one of my least favorites, well, at the time I wasn't fond of Meg the Demon, but in retrospect, and even toward the end of the season, I found her less bothersome. But in now having rewatched all these eps a bazillion times *L*, I'm finding that one character that never really grabbed me to start, still doesn't do anything for me, and that's the vampire woman. I don't know, maybe it was the actress, but she just didn't seem to flow naturally. The guy vamp was okay, but the girl, something about her bugged me. *L*

Meg the demon annoyed me - just didn't like the character or the actress. I LOVED Julie Benz's Layla. I'd actually have liked to see her on the show again, if there was a reason for it.

I too was disappointed with that vampire episode - I wanted to like it more, but the vmaps weren't that likeable, which is sort of the thing about vampire stories.

Anyway, let's see...I liked the family of siblings from "Wendigo" - the sister and the two brothers. I liked the chick from Bloody Mary, the one who lasts the entire episode. I also like Beth Broderick's character in "Nightmare", and the psycho kid too. The shapeshifter was a cool villain, I wanted to know more about him, and I liked the kids from "Asylum". And I LOVED Layla from "Faith". And let's not forget Amy Acker's character in "Dead in the Water".

I dislike John. Glad he's dead, hope his ghost doesn't show up again/

I also didn't like Sam's guy friend from the pilot, even though there was just one scene with him. I didn't like the park ranger dude from "Wendigo", or the little boy from "Dead in the Water". Not a huge fan of the psychic from "Home", but she's ok I guess.

I've only seen most of season 1 cuz I just got the DVDs so bear with me here. My next episode is actually the vampire episode. I guess the popular opinion is that they suck. LOL I loved Layla. She was so sweet and loveable. It was a shame that she didn't get healed at the end. I also like the cop lady from The Benders. She was cool and I would love to see her again in the future. Although that's very unlikely. I also like that girl from Provenance who helped Sam and Dean stop the painting from killing anymore people. Missouri the psychic was really good too. She should have been in more eps but from what I know, she doesn't appear anymore.

Now I don't like Meg the Demon chick. The actress annoys me and so does the character. It's like she tries so hard at being evil but it doesn't land. Kinda like Eve on Angel. I also hated the hillbilly family who were hunting humans on The Benders. That little girl deserved more than just being thrown in a closet.
