Matthew Lillard has been tapped to lead the ensemble cast of NBC's SF comedy pilot Area 52, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Area 52, from NBC Universal Television Studio, revolves around a group of government employees in the Arizona desert who watch over an alien from outer space.
