Discussion of 6.15 "Freak" - Aired 2/15/07 (CW-US)

[Vilandra]

Clark (Tom Welling) and Chloe (Allison Mack) discover that Tobias (guest star Greyston Holt), a young man who was blinded in the meteor shower and now has the ability to identify "meteor freaks," is being used by Lex (Michael Rosenbaum) to locate people with abilities in order to experiment on them.

Lana (Kristin Kreuk) finds out about Tobias' gift, and fearing he will name Clark as one infected, offers him a cornea transplant in exchange for his silence. However, she is not prepared for Tobias' shocking news.

Erica Durance, John Glover and Annette O'Toole also star. Todd Slavkin & Darren Swimmer wrote the episode directed by Michael Rosenbaum.

An okay episode. The Chloe thing would be a cooler reveal if I really believed that she was a meteor freak. Cause I just didn't get the vibe that it was serious.

Lex at the end was pretty cool though!

That was the only thing I liked about this episode. It was a bit blah then Lex lied on the soul of his unborn child and that look of his at the end. Love it!

OMG, I loved this episode, being a huge fan of Chloe I love the idea that she might get some kind of ability. Maybe she's like super cool with computers (a bit like Sage from the X-Men). That's what I thought her ability could be.

I liked Lana being protective of Clark and the Chloe/Clark scene with the tracking device. It was great!
