Best Drama

1: Doctor Who (31.33%)

"I didn't think anything could top Series 1 but I was so wrong. This year we've had werewolves, Cybermen, Daleks, clockwork robots, and old friends in the shape of a former companion and a robot dog."
Alan Kelly, Rhyl, North Wales

"It's brought back my childhood love of the show. There's nothing like sitting in front of the telly on a Saturday night, eating your tea and forgetting the world for 45 minutes."
Jules V, London

Best Actor

1: David Tennant (39.96%)

"He's so versatile. His acting range has yet to reach an end - from making us believe he really is an old, tired and angry man in a younger man's body, to being excited and bubbly, to being compassionate but resolute. And so much inbetween. He makes you believe he is the character he's playing, and gives him such depth."
Gwyneth Brain, Bristol

"Such an instinctive actor with an amazing on-screen presence. His interpretation of the Doctor is spot-on."
Gavin MacLean, Norwich

Best Actress

1: Billie Piper (42.74%)

"In 2006 Billie continued her excellent work in Doctor Who, taking the character of Rose to new emotional highs and lows in a believable and realistic portrayal (despite the fantastic nature of the programme). She extended her range beautifully in The Ruby in the Smoke. Granted she's got a long way to go before she's a Dame Judi Dench, but she's got the potential."
J Bedford, Huddersfield

"I don't think there has ever been such a widespread outbreak of crying as there was on the night of the Doctor Who series finale. This was in no small part a result of Billie's amazing performance."
Emily, London

Favorite Moment

1: Rose's exit [Doctor Who] (27.25%)

"You don't often get raw emotion from mainstream telly, even less from a family sci-fi show, so the amount that David Tennant and Billie Piper squeezed out of that last episode together was fantastic. Great stuff."
Roger, Swindon

"Quite possibly the most touching piece of television I have ever watched. The writing, the acting and the score combined to reinforce just how dramatic this parting was destined to be. It moved me to tears."
Emma Sandrey, Cardiff

3: Daleks v Cybermen [Doctor Who] (4.08%)

"The Daleks and the Cybermen meet at last, with a tongue-in-cheek 'face-off'. 'This is not war, this is pest control' was a classic line."
Anthony Musgrave, Hull
