I just made it so that large images are resized when you use the img tags (so for those of with slow connections, the page still loads even if there are lots of images on a page).
You can set the maximum size of images to display in your edit options. I have it default to resize images larger than 300 x 300.
Just click on the bar above the resized imaged to display it as full size.
