So is this gonna do better or worse with no current TV show to support it? Are the Trekkers clamoring for a new one? I have zero interest. But, maybe he can make it fun...

I'd rather him ditch this and do something with The Dark Tower. Or, go back to creating television series for a while. LOST could really use him right now. Six Degrees won't make it to a second season. What About Brian is lame and is doing horribly, and won't get renewed unless ABC just *really* loves it. Of course, he didn't create those, but he's listed as having creative influence.

He really really needs to make another excellent show. Trying to revive an ancient franchise seems useless for him, IMO.
