So I just saw it today and I thought it was the best film yet. Since it had been a while since I'd read the book, a lot of things were new to me again which was good. It is much darker than the previous, and it's nice to see the 'kids' growing up. And also nice to have some eye candy back - those ones without Oliver Wood were hard to get through lol. (Did I mention, mmmmm Viktor Krum?)

Ugh. Maybe it's because I'm a guy but that Krum is fugly. lol

I liked the movie. The book is better, and I wasn't pleased with how everything was extremely fast paced in the movie.

But definitely the best film yet.

See that was probably my least favorite book - I don't know why.

I'm still at the beginning of the first book, but I loved the movie. Saw it the Sunday after it opened. Lots of fun. Vaguely troubled though by the fact that I found Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliff) very cute in that tub scene. *L* The kid is like 10 years younger than me... kinda creepy... :P *L*

The movie rocked though. The fast pace was fun for me, the only thing I've noticed in general about the films, is that I almost always manage to peg the bad guy right from the start...

It's cool to see them growing up, and the storyline growing up with them.

lol I found myself wondering if he like went to the gym to prepare for that scene or something lol ;)

Yeah, I know. It was like, wow, he's actually got mucles under there. *L* That scene was really funny though. I laughed through most of it. Was just hillarious and cute.

I keep thinking of "Myrtle" in Intermission or Bridget Jones' Diary though lol, and it seems really pervy :D

Oh I forgot to mention how I so cried when Harry was draped on Cedric's body and wouldn't let it go :(

I know it's been a while since I read the book, but am I wrong in thinking they left a l-o-t out of the film? I'm sure I remember something about Hagrid and Madame (? - the lady giant) getting kinda friendly with each other?

I know there's always a lot of the book plot missing from a film, but it seemed to me they really shredded it this time.

*gag a maggot*

All the adult women in my theater were whooping at the screen in the tub scene. THat's just...WRONG on so many levels.

I very much doubt that even 25% of the book was in the movie. There were SEVERAL scenes in the book between Hagrid and the Beauxbatons headmistress, and in the end of the book, Hagrid hints that he and her will be spying for Dumbledore.

And in the movie did they even really MENTION that Voldemort's return was going to start a war? They sure talked about it in book 4, but in the movie I just remember Dumbledore telling them Voldemort killed Cedric, and that was the end of that.

Oh I got the impression about the war thing...

Personally I'm not too fussed if they don't make the film exactly the same as the book. First off - remember how long the book was? The film they made was 2.5 hours - if they added everything it would be 8 hours long. Plus making a film and writing a book are two different things - they aren't exactly the same and shouldn't be. The first movie sucked I thought because everything was as it was in the book and there were no surprises.

The first two movies were very lame, IMO.

Yeah it was definitely a mass improvement. The movies keep getting better. :)
