On TransNational flight 2485, a man possessed by the spirit of the Phantom Traveler causes the plane to crash, leaving only five survivors left alive. Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) must exorcise the angry spirit before it attacks the survivors. The brothers realize the only way to do that is to take the battle to the skies.

Made me think of Final Destination though...

I agree, it did make me think of Final Destination a bit, but the whole exorcism spin gave it something new. It wasn't one of the best Supernatural episodes thus far (I prefer the previous episodes to this one, not to say the episode was a bad one) - but I really enjoy how the show's writers research actual urban legends and ghost stories to pick the basis' of their episodes, and with The Exorcism of Emily Rose just coming out - it was just bad timing for the show to come up with their own exorcism :o.
Although the episode did have it's good parts, and it was pretty amusing to see Dean show some vunerability for once when he was in the plane, nice comic relief to ease off the suspense a little. I ecspecially liked the ending, when they actually found out who the spirit had possessed, I expected it would be the pilot anyway - but the way they chose to discover it was nice. Using the little machine they had and some old fashioned latin to sniff the demon out ^_^.

I agree - not the best episode, but not bad either. :)

I was expecting a lot more from this episode, after all, it was written by the creator of "Miracles", by far the best paranormal show EVER, but oh well. It was entertaining enough. And the scene where the boys were running away from the hanger was definitely great.

I agree with everything you guys said I did prefer the last episode to this one, but I really did enjoy it. It was very similar to Final Destination, but it put a very cool spin on it!
And I have been dieing for some kinda shock moment thing that would be like a cliff-hanger moment, and there was two in this ep the one where the demon knew about Jessica and the dad's voicemail message.
The one thing I am not mad on is the end of the episodes, I know that travel to all these places but I would have rather the ep end with the Dad reveal, then showing them drive away!
