I was wondering what everyone actually thought if the show in general. Do you like it or do you find it annoying boring at times, what do or don't you like about the show?
I think the show is ok, its pretty unrealistic at times but its easy viewing.
What about you?

Well most of the time I love it - this past season though I've not been watching as carefully, as well as there are other time when I get not that into it. But then usually something happens and I'm like "I love this show!!" again. As a whole, it's a great show. But it has its ups and downs. And I miss Shan :)

Most of the time i love the show, I mean lately it seems as if they are doing the same plot lines over and over agian, Last nights episode made me cry and i really liked it so, I agree the show has its Ups and downs and as for it not being to realistic very true i always wanted to have sisters and be close to them... i love the closeness....

I've always enjoyed it, although I haven't seen any of the new series as we haven't got it here yet.
I like the idea behind the series and have enjoyed virtually every ep I've ever watched. I think it might be approaching the time to call an end to it though. I felt one or two of the eps in the last series were straining for a decent plot-line. As much as I'd hate to see it disappear from our screens, I'd prefer that to thrashing the ideas to death and ending up with a second-rate series.

I enjoy watching it, But I did love how they used to have a fixed mythology to the show, now they are kind of fitting thing in to each episode, but It's still watchable :)

I think it's just...not good. I watched almost one hundred episodes on TNT. I WANTED to like it. Sometimes it was ENJOYABLE, but that's it. The show has promise but hasn't come close to getting near all that promise since Shannen Doherty left the show. Which is weird...cuz I think that woman is a horrible actress, and she seems really stuck up in real life (I'm not sure about that tho).
Like I said, I wish I could get into this show, but it will never even come close to Point Pleasant, Buffy, or anything like that.
Of course, these are MY personal opinions and I don't mean to offend anyone on the board or anything like that. I'm thrilled you all have a show that's lasted this long when so many shows I personally think had more potential didn't even get a full season.

I can see where your coming from on with this, it really has not got the depth that point Pleasant or Charmed, it is very shallow, you really can just turn it on and you don't have to be remembering little things that were said earlier in the season, because they tend to show the important stuff on the 'previously on Charmed' bit, and the characters make references all the time. the fans don't really need to look closely at the show in the same was as they do with Buffy, in which you get to see the true core of the show. But I still like it :)

I really enjoyed Charmed up until Shannon left and then personally the season have got slowly worse and worse! Season 4 was hard to watch as Rose was still getting used to the show and was trying to build up a relationship with the girls. I found the whole season really awkward and hard to watch. Season 5 and 6 were boring. I think the whole Cole, Chris storylines dragged on far too long! I just used to switch off and finally Season 7. It's sad as I watched it all but I can't remember anything that happened in it!!! I usually can retell most of the episodes and remember every detail, but for this season there is nothing but a huge black hole! That to me says how bad Charmed has got! Not looking forward to Season 8 coming out over here! I know I will watch it but will it be memorable!
i like Charmed...personally, i'd rather have Rose than Shannon, but that's just me. S6 is my fave season...i loved Chris...the guy's just hot!!
but the new season doesn't seem to be going over well with the fans. it hasn't aired over here yet, but some friends of mine in the States are really not liking Billie.

Out of respect for the fans of the show and the fact i'm new on this board, i'm not sure i should be posting in this thread, lol! However ...
I really, REALLY, REALLY don't like Charmed! It just does not do a thing for me and i can't understand how anyone can enjoy it.
Now, don't get me wrong, i was once a fan of the show. The first two seasons i actually did look forward to watching it but i think my disenchantment with the series came at the same time (and for the same reasons, for that matter) as Shannon Doherty's.
Throughout season three the storylines just became so unbelievable and outlandish that there were certain episodes where i had to force myself to watch it until the end. In fact if it hadn't been for the fact i thought Shannon was hot i probably wouldn't have done, lol! Then, after she left and they killed Prue off, my reasons for watching became nonexistent.
I actually did continue to watch for a while and even after i stopped being a regular viewer i caught the odd episode, now and again. Each time i did though it put me off the show even more. The acting was terrible, the writing was some of the most bland i'd seen in a very long time, and the storylines were blatent ripoffs of Buffy, Angel and basically any fairytale that you might have heard as a child. Add that to the fact that they use every excuse possible to get the girls into a skimpy outfit, regardless of the storyline of the episode, and you get one mess of a show.
I remember reading an interview with Shannon where she stated that she wanted out once she believed the quality of the show was declining and that the writers were turning it into a second rate childrens series. I think she was very accurate indeed.
Anyway, as you can probably tell, not much of a Charmed fan, but mainly because i know it used to be good and it had so much potential to be great. A shame they wasted it.

I never liked Shannon, she really bugged me, I'm not sure why but she did. I actually really like Billie, I like the storyline they have for her and where they are going with it.

Well, I hate Shannon Doherty ... but I loved Prue dearly. I mean, I agree, the show did take a dip after season 3, but I still tuned in every week. Sure, it's not as good as the first couple seasons, but I think the reason I still watch is because I'm truly engrossed in these women, especially Piper. The show was really never about magic, it was always about how these women could cope with the weight of the world on their shoulders. I know, the demons, the plotlines, the episodes ... they've all declined in substance. But I still enjoy the show because I enjoy watching these girls deal with a wacky, sad, and kind of retarded life.
And I can't get enough of Holly Marie Combs. Love the woman!

I really like the storylines Piper gets they are usually very good, The thing about Charmed is you can just turn it on and chill out for an hour it is good/funny/silly TV that you don't have to take seriously, that’s what kept me coming back!

I must admit if it wasn't for Holly I would not have kept watching for so long! I don't like most of the storylines but I love Holly soooo much that I don't want to stop watching because she is great! Shame that the writers have screwed up!

See, that is probably the reason i don't watch, because i see no substance in either the storylines or the characters. Charmed characters all seem so generic and stereotypical to me and quite honestly some of the acting looks like they got the scripts about five minutes before hand and they just read the words without any context of situation whatsoever. I'm not questioning the actresses in general, by the way. It just seems a bad combination of lacklustre writing and phoned in acting.

i think the episodes where the girls become things (goddess', valkyries, etc) are usually the better ones..other than that, i think the storylines are kind of cheesy
gotta agree with Summers Blood...if it wasn't for Holly, i wouldn't be watching. Piper is my fave character from the show...but it always bugged me that the wrtiters never let her and Leo have a happily ever after...they always find ways to breake them up.
and i hate the fact that Pheobe gets a new boyfriend every season, and Paige seems to always be out of a job. and all of the attention is focused on Wyatt, when Chris is just as powerful as he is! they have the same parents!!
and i don't like all of the rumors that are flying around the internet right now about Billie...everyone seems to want an explination about who she is. they seem to want her to be related to the Charmed Ones in some way.
so far, i've read that she's:
Pheobe's daughter.
Piper and Leo's daughter.
Prue's daughter (that no one ever knew about)
or Prue reincarnated.
can't they just accept that she might just be another witch?

I totallyy agree with you. For me it, when Shanon Doherty left, evrything focused upon Piper and espescially Phoebe. Everything happened to her and she always was like the center of the episode. I stopped watching it since it became really boring. I liked the Cole character but then he left too. Sooo... *yawn*

I never really liked the show. I watched most of the first season, but just didn't get into it (way back when). Then I started watching reruns on TNT, and some were okay, but some were totally dumb and had themes/subjects/characters that I've seen elsewhere.
But, from what I've seen I could see how it would be entertaining. It doesn't compare to Buffy/Angel and other shows, but it's just entertainment. And it's lasted a long time.
I just bought season one for my sister, so I'm sure I'll end up watching all the eps and then watching the rest. I will say though, that I do agree with the Piper loving. She's my favorite character from what I've seen.
