So this was interesting, if Juliet was telling the truth about Smokey - that she and the Others don't know what the smoke is. And that flash thing it did to Kate and Juliet - that was new, wasn't it?

Sawyer getting conned by Hurley was pretty cute.

We just know the guy who conned the woman Kate meets in her flashback was Sawyer, don't we?

Will the survivors move into the village now? That's what I'd do, then I'd change all the codes on the sonic barrier thing.

The Others seem to have this weird sort of moral code where people like Kate, Sawyer, Hurley and Sayid aren't worthy of being gathered, because of their past. That's why they were imprisoned, or rejected would be my guess, but what did Jack do in his past that he made that list. Flashback to come, I'll wager.

Sawyer as leader, and Hurley as king maker. That's messed up, in a fun way. I would have chosen Sun as leader if I was on the island.

Yeah, so I guess Sawyer's got a kid, by that con victim woman. Did we know that already? I forget.

And the Others' code makes sense, with their weird cult/religious behavior I suppose. I never know what to take at face value. I guess the non-Others are mostly "infidels".

I heard someone on another site saying Sawyer's kid had been mentioned before.

I'm not sure I trust Juliet yet. That one other woman was ready to kill herself rather than divulge secrets. So secrets are important to them. Why would they let Juliet loose amongst the survivors?

Juliet is sooo not exiled from the Others! The Others have now embedded one of themselves into the group, under Jack's protection apparently, who coincidentially has pulled the right strings that make Jack tick. Hence her little rant to Kate about what do you know about Jack? I know all personal and physical info yadda yadda.
But, and it's about time, Sayid is back in the game! And this time if the group doesn't believe him they are just plain stupid because he was the only one to nail it that Ben was not who he was.
And hey what happened to the French chick???

Great episode, very cool. I was a little thrilled, actually, when they were being chased by Smokey. Although, why didn't the thing go OVER the sonic barrier? It would have taken all of a half second.

Ya know how we see Juliet from Smokey's POV and we see the flashing lights and clicks like a camera? Well, what if that thing WAS taking pictures and transmitting them to someone else, someone who "runs" the island or something? Hmm. Maybe someone playing God, and that's why the monster kills people who can't be redeemed? But then again the monster seems to be able to read people so if it were simply a machine that wouldn't make sense.

Anyway, the fight between Kate and Juliet didn't last nearly long enough. I liked their interactions though, the actresses are good around each other. Beth Broderick was awesome, too.

Yeah I loved the bit with the smoke monster. It hitting the barrior was cool, and how it split in two! It seemed almost snake lke in the way it moved!
