Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) investigate a series of mysterious drownings written off as suicides. They discover the spirit is an angry little boy with the power to travel through water who is taking revenge on certain town inhabitants for a dark secret buried long ago. Dean forms a bond with a young boy who seems to have the power of premonition.

Sera Gamble & Raelle Tucker wrote the episode directed by Kim Manners.

I'm looking forward to this one. I think it's the one with Amy Acker.

It is :) So yay! lol

I'll be really interested to see her in a role that is not Fred/Illyria and see how she does.

So she was pretty good - seemed older I thought. Maybe it was because she played a mom. Sort of an interesting twist. Dean being so attached to the kid was adorable though :)

Ok I LOVED this episode!! I loved seeing Amy in it, And I agree Vil she did seem older!

And was it just me or was anyone else expecting Sam to be the one who would bond with the people they were helping, I don't know why I got that but I did from the Pilot, but in both this and the previous ep Dean was the one who bonded with the victim while Sam was the one who wanted to move on!

Well IMO Dean is more likeable from a viewer's perspective, although I guess Sam seems the more sympathetic one if a supernatural entity just ripped a love one apart...but actually I was thinking Sam would be the one who got the most attention from Amy's character, because they talked a lot more and seemed to be closer at the beginning.

And this episode didn't feature as many "I'm too sexy for this ghost" expressions, thank God.

This is the first episode of the show I've seen...and I loved it!! It had a certain something about it. It reminded me of the X-Files. It kept me hooked the whole time and I had to pay complete attention throughout the episode, unlike shows like Tru Calling.

Dean is adorable and I really liked Sam. The boy in the water remind me a bit of that scary child in The Grudge...lol...

I just felt the need to say once again how much I love Amy Acker...she is so frickin' awesome in this episode! (I'm watching the DVD right now.) She's probably in the top five best guest stars of season one.

I've noticed that Julie Benz has guest stared in supernatural also.
But it was weird to hear Amy Acker talk in her normal voice without her fred voice!( i swear she spoke different on Angel)

I enjoyed the eppy the water has never been so scary!
