I just discovered that there will be some novels for Supernatural coming out. So far there are two planned, to be released in August and November respectively. The first one is called "Nevermore". You can view the Amazon page here (http://www.amazon.com/Supernatural-Nevermore-Keith-R-DeCandido/dp/0061370908/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/002-0970080-2864038?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1176572957&sr=1-1).

The summary:

Sam and Dean have hit New York City to check out a local rocker's haunted house. But before they can figure out why a lovesick banshee in the bedroom, a far more macabre crime catches their attention. Not far from the house, two university students were beaten to death by a strange assailant. A murder that's bizarre even by New York City standards, it's the latest in a line of killings that the borthers soon suspect are based on the creepy stories of legendary writer Edgar Allan Poe.

Their investigation leads them to the center of one of Poe's horror classics, face-to-face with their most terrifying foe yet. And if Sam and Dean don't rewrite the ending of this chilling tale, a grisly serial killer will end their lives forevermore.

Cool, eh? I'll definitely buy it. I just realized I've never really thought about there being novels, even though they have tons for Buffy, Angel, Charmed, Smallville, etc. In fact it makes perfect sense to have them because think of all the stories they can do.

Hopefully these books will be a success. And hopefully they'll be as well done as a lot of the Buffy ones are, because some of those were better than actual episodes.

Oh yeah, I actually heard about this a few weeks ago I think. *L* I may be so possessed as to buy and read them. I'll do just about anything for a Winchester fix. *L*

I just hope that the ones for Supernatural are more developed and cool than the ones for Lost and, to some extent, Alias. Like Buffy...some of those tie-in books are like 500-page novels. lol

Yeah, I've really only picked up some of the Buffy ones, haven't even seen the Lost or Alias ones. But, yeah, hopefully they'll be good.

I don't think banshees thrive on pain, in most stories they're usually just warning you you're about to die. lol

Banshees "warn" you about when you are going to die, usually around two in the morning or something like that. And isn't it like there's a family banshee that haunts a specific family?

But otherwise, the book sounds pretty cool. I am going to get it, probably this week (it is already out, isn't it? That's what it looks like according to Amazon...) and my birthday, which is in November, so that works out.

I haven't bought "Nevermore" yet. I saw it at the bookstore, but it was $8 and I've heard mixed reviews about it. So I decided to wait.

I was going to get it today, but the stupid bookstore didn't have it. Grrr...

Personally, I don't really care about reviews, so I don't usually read them. And if I do, its usually after I've read/seen something.
