Melinda becomes concerned for the safety of the people she loves when a ghost prophet shows her visions of the future. The fellow Ghost Whisperer, who Melinda doesn't trust is still in Grandview

It's a secret hiding in plain sight, but the finales of Ghost Whisperer are among the cream of supernatural fiction. Not many seem to stress this, or even notice it because the bulk of the episodes for the season, up until that point are always so-so, mainstream, repetitive palp.

This 2 part finale is another "Wow!". It's cinematic. And damn...I forgot to tape it again.

Oh, cool theory, I think (my very own)...Melinda's husband will die next week.

Pretty obvious! But I think the wow factor is going to be Andrea saving her husband.

Hey, not fair. I'll bet there's a lot of people who don't think that white bread, Hollywood, pretty boy is going to get snuffed. In fact, I'll bet there's a certain amount of wishful thinking on your's and mine part. ;)

When you say someone's going to save her husband, do you mean the Camryn Manheim character - Deilia? Andrea's from last season, isn't she? Or wait, cooler still, do you mean the ghost of Andrea is going to come back to try to save Melinda's husband?

So this is the way I see it. Next week hubby gets it. Next season we get into one of those will they, won't they get together situations between Melinda and the professor.

Remember Andrea never crossed over and the ghosts are becoming more powerful in the 'real' world so yeah I'm saying Andrea is going to do something to save him from death.
As for the prof and Melinda getting together? Phhhhhht...not!

You'd know better than me. I haven't seen the whole season. From last week's ep though I'd say they're setting up a romantic tension between Melinda and the prof.

Maybe it will be more like a Xander and Buffy in the early seasons thing.

No not even close with the Xander/Buffy thing.
Moher's character has been the smarmy, wisecracking bookworm that Melinda took 3/4 of the season to tell of her abilities. Besides why would the show want to go from the perfect loving marriage they have now to a relationship with Moher? Besides if Jim takes that dirt nap I don't see Melinda warming up to another man for a long time.
The shock factor IMO is Andrea. That was sorta left hanging from the beginning of this season.

I'm not seeing an actual "relationship". I'm thinking something more like the prof wants Melinda, but Melinda's not into it. She's still in love with her husband, and anyway this guy doesn't quite make the grade as relationship material.

None of this matters, of course, if hubby makes it through the next ep. If he dies though, I think the prof will want to take it to a new level with Melinda.
