We've been catching up with Supernatural here and managed to watch 5 or 6 eps over last weekend.
"Hollywood Babylon" was brilliant...really funny with plenty of geek points to be earned.
"What is and what should never be" was also superb, as was "Folsom Prison Blues".
"Tall tales" was also a funny ep...slow dancing aliens :) I'd like to see the trickster again.
"Road kill" and "Heart" were good but not the best of the six. "Road kill" was an OK monster/ghost of the week ep with a neat twist (though, like "Six Sense", I thought it was pretty obvious) and "Heart" was good but I thought the Sam/Madison relationship felt a little rushed and unrealistic (but hey, it's a fantasy/horror show so my disbelief was suspended :))
Now I can catch up with this forum as soon as we get round to watching the last two eps...

Yeah, Ben Edlund wrote the Babylon one. I wish he'd write more than he does. Think I actually like the satire/parody eps most. And that Sixth Sensey ep fooled me. Guess I'm lucky that way, heh.

I like the ideas of the comedy episodes but thinking back on them, I don't like them that much. HB was the better of the two. But they're only amusing for me, I wish they'd get the guy to write those - the guy who did the comedy episodes for The X-Files and Millennium. (He wrote the Jose Chung episodes.) That guy is HILARIOUS.

I love Roadkill. Unfortunately the twist was spoiled for me before I saw it so I picked up on every single clue but I really enjoyed the episode, it's actually in my top five.

I wish Tim Minear would join this show as an executive producer. I think he could make this show more than it is.

I wish Tim Minear would join this show as an executive producer. I think he could make this show more than it is.

The only problem with that would be that, much as I like his work, Tim's shows have gone from being cancelled after five seasons, to being cancelled after 13 eps, to being cancelled after 4 eps...I guess someone up there doesn't like him ;)
