I hope this isn't considered a duplicate post based on Allycat's, but this thread is dedicated to personal favorite movies in all categories. Doesn't have to be what you consider the BEST...we all have movies that are guilty pleasures that may not be the best of the crop. For instance, I **LOVE** the 2003 movie "The Order", which stars Heath Ledger as a priest who investigates the death of a friend while uncovering a conspiracy - but the critics HATE the movie and it did terrible in theaters...and most people who saw it hated it. :(
So anyway, what movies are your guilty pleasures? You can list some out of every type of movie - horror, fantasy, sci-fi, comedy, romance, etc. You can even list a movie that you haven't seen yet but you just have a feeling you'll love it. If you want. :)

Not one response? Preposterous! Well, allow me to be the first....
One guilty pleasure from the Horror genre is an almost forgotten little cult classic ditty entitled "The Car (1977)", starring James Brolin as a small town sherriff who battles an indestructible, Satan-possessed custom car. It's panned by many as cheeseball tripe, but I've always loved this slice of classic '70's terror. It's mindless fun! A movie doesn't ALWAYS have to be an Oscar-worthy powerhouse, or even make sense. Lol.
More to come.....

Bring it On is awesome. But my guilty pleasure movie has to be Not Another Teen Movie. I just found that to be hilarious. It does get a little nasty sometimes but most scenes crack me up.

Basically any teen-movie... from classic John Hughes' to modern raunchy films. Oh, and your basic slasher will do just fine too, seen all Texas, Friday, Nightmare, and in the process of watching all Halloweens :D and Scream of course is a classic of our generation.
But my ultimate guilty pleasures have got to be Charlie's Angels and Charlie's Angels 2: Full Throttle... I own both of them on DVD and they're so great, I watch 'em quite often... the DVDs are also loaded with specials, which I think is really nice!

Most of the films I really love to watch again and again might be called "guilty pleasures" because they seem to be films that received terrible reviews. I'll just mention five here:
I Know What You Did Last Summer
This film seems to become less well regarded with each passing year. I loved it when I first saw it in the cinema (nearly two years before I started to watch Buffy) and I love it even more now. Yes, it has a few weak spots, but apart from anything else, Sarah Michelle Gellar and Ryan Phillippe are both really good in it.
Simply Irresistible
It's not really a film that's been seen by that many people. It tanked at the cinema. It often gets absolutely slated as being an irredeemable turkey. Okay, it has its faults; it's not particularly original, there's a certain lack of screen chemistry between SMG and Sean Patrick Flanery, and the "magic crab" wasn't the greatest of ideas! But I adore this film. It's unashamedly warmhearted and there's nothing wrong with that. I do wish they'd stuck with the original title, Vanilla Fog.
Urban Legend
The debt it owes to the far superior Scream films is obvious and it is immensely silly in many ways. There are so many holes in the plot, even for a film like this. None of that matters to me. I'm a big fan of Rebecca Gayheart, Alicia Witt and Josua Jackson and I can happily watch this film any time.
I've Been Waiting For You
This is a no-budget TV movie starring Sarah Chalke and based on a novel called Gallows Hill by Lois Duncan, who also wrote the book that I Know What You Did Last Summer is based on. There are any number of easy criticisms that could be levelled at the film but it's another one I watch over and over again and always enjoy.
Hide And Seek
This film got such bad reviews. To be honest, I'm not a huge fan of Robert De Niro. I know he's one of the great film actors of his generation, but I don't particular find him enjoyable to watch. I just rented this movie one night out of curiosity, partly because I like "haunted house" stories. I liked it enough to go out and buy the DVD soon afterwards. I don't think there's much more to be said, other than... I like it.

Ok, I know this movie was geared to mostly a younger viewer demographic, and is not as highly regarded as it should be, but I'm sorry, I have to count "Labyrinth" among my guilty pleasure movies. I loved that movie and still do. (Had a MAJOR crush on Jennifer Connelly when that movie was first released, lol). I also enjoyed "The Neverending Story" series, although I've never seen the third one. I love fantasy flicks, sue me.

I love fantasy, too. The Neverending Story is an incredible movie, and an even more incredible book. Have you read it.
Speaking of Labyrinth, have you seen THE DARK CRYSTAL? I **LOVE** it.

I love Labyrinth so much that at Christmas or Easter or any other time we get to watch videos at school I take it in for the kids to watch. They love it so much! My copy of Labyrinth was nicked by an ex and I haven't got round to getting a new copy yet so this year we didn't get to watch it. Instead I made my class watch Peter Pan, 2004 edition. That is my main guilty pleasure at the mo. My mum thinks i'm odd cause I love children's fantasy films.

lol, nothing wrong with that. My mom has seen Labyrinth, and she says it's very dark for a kids movie

Yeah it is but I remember as a kid I loved it sooo much. My mum actually loved it too, she had a thing for David Bowie.... I think it's one of those films that captures childrens imaginations.

I like the classic movie "The Princess Bride". It's totally cheesy (e.g "you killed my father. Prepare to die") but a great film nontheless. Bring It On is really good. Has anyone seen the second one, 'Bring It On Again'? I hear it isn't as good...

I think Bring It On's really good. That and Clueless are a couple of my teen movie faves actually. Peyton Reed directed it. He was gonna direct Fantastic Four at one point too...

I love Bring it On...I only ever watched it because of Eliza Dushku but it turned out to be a really funny movie.
My favourite teen comedy is one with Kirsten Dunst, and Michelle Williams called Dick. I think I may be the only one who's ever seen it though, because I never hear it mentioned. Either that, or maybe it's a teen comedy that teens don't like. It a little historical. It's about a time in American history when this evil, old president named Nixon was in power. Maybe they don't know who Nixon was, or something.

OMG, I love 'Dick'(Gollanth shush).
The idea behind it was so funny and Kirsten is hot as always.
All the Bring it On fans too.
See, I rented it because i read 'Cheerleaders' on the back.
I got it home and was excited when i saw Kirsten.
I nearly exploded when I saw Eliza.
And finally, i think i needed a cigarette when Gabrielle Union was on screen.
I love that movie:)
But my guilty pleasure - Coyote Ugly!!

I never have understood why Kirsten Dunst is thought to be so hot. I just think she's "cute". Eliza...way hotter.
