Well hello

I joined this place two months ago but yeah, decided to start posting today (like others I ended up here when BB – my home – disappeared).

Um, my name is something Swedish but you can call me eponinethen/epo/eps/epi or come up with a new name for me if you wanna.. I'm 19.. A Swede, obviously.. Studying English in the UK at the moment though, in Cambridge (not at the university).. and plan to stay in this country for at least three more years if things go well.

Guess that's all about me. I live for BtVS & Joss Whedon stuff. Other shows worth living for might be Veronica Mars, Twin Peaks (although old), L Word, Lost, OC (yes I'm still a serious person, geeze, OC is great)..
Bet I forgot lots of stuff but that's all for now and I suck and introdusing myself.. but hopefully at least some of you recognise me from BB, mhm..

Hey there...well, I hope you'll visit now and then even when the Buffy boards are back up.

Oh yeah, I like The OC. Actually at my school it's more popular with guys than you'd think...so I don't feel so lame when I get enjoyment out of it...I think the show's really funny sometimes (although not as much so as Desperate Housewives.)

Every Guy and Girl in my school, actually forget that, EVERY Guy and Girl from the ages 16-19 watch The O.C. in Irelan, you are considered lame if you don't, lol. I don’t actually know anyone that does not like it! I knew someone, then they actually set down and watched it and now he loves it. It's like an epidemic in my school, everyone has it, most of them on DVD, Lol

Ah, well, in my school all the girls are obsessed with The OC, except for a few. And the goths and emos despise it, of course. At first almost every guy hated it but now mostly the jocks (which is the most surprising) watch it with their girlfriends or whatever, and I guess they realized it's not just for girls and they like it too. (Actually, a lot of times it would be easier for a guy to relate since the two main characters are guys anyway) And EVERYONE loves the theme song.

Say, I never knew you studied English... that is SO cool! Cause I do too! If not at UNI, what kind of institution do you study it at and what kind of fields? Both linguistics and literature... or proficiency in the language?

Actually I'm just studying at an EF language school (you know, for lame people like me who suck at English, heh), it's pretty crappy honestly and the only reason I'm staying is because I have some nice friends here, and the quidance counsellor I have is the greatest, he has helped me get into uni... So yeah, I'm not studying English as a subject, just learning how to use the language.. Actually we don't learn that (that's the crappy part), we just do exams ans stuff, like CAE.. Hey now you made me realize how much this sucks, lol..

About the OC thing, I love it and I think it's a really cool show. I love the characters and the dialogues etc. It's just that those "cool" film interested people usually think you're super lame if you like those really popular teenage shows, like The OC.. But the fact remains, it's a damn good show, so I'm a fan :D

Really? Wow I would've never thought. I mean a lot of people here watch the OC, but people think it's like a soap or a very bad drama show, hm.. Almost like how they underestimate Buffy..
