No one ever talks about this show, but I know it has a fanbase just as dedicated as Buffy fans, but I don't know how many people are part of both fanbases.

Does anyone at After-Darkness like Alias? If so...what do you like and dislike about it? (Just to get discussion going. :))

I know it's something to do with superspies and stuff... maybe like a female James Bond... I dunno. Never caught it when it first aired and now it's too much "out there" to start watching, I spose.

Not really like James Bond, lol. It's extremely good though. Like "Lost" in the sense that there's sci-fi, but the sci-fi takes a backseat to the character development and spy stuff.

I've always liked the description of Alias as "spy-fi"? Not quite sci-fi but close enough to keep me watching ;) It's a shame that it seems it will be cancelled after the current season, which we're still waiting for in the UK.

I have to wonder, though, just how many silly wigs they can "disguise" Sydney with until the whole of the world's spying community recognises her as "that CIA girl with the daft wigs" :)

I have an online friend who always says I should start watching this show.. I never have but I'm thinking more and more than I should.. Might actually like it.. Sound really good actually, hm.

I watched it one season (I think the second one) but then just sort of lost interest - not really sure why.

Okay since my last post I watched my two first Alias episodes ever, think they were episode 406 and then 403 :D (Mind me I don't know the names, heh.)
Seems kind of good actually, not half as unserious as I used to believe... I'll probably try to watch a season or two and see what it's all about.. might be worth it..

I never knew Alias had a kinda sci-fi element to it, I was just discussing with a friend of mine which series we were going to watch next from the start on DVD, and this was one of the possibilities!

I discovered Alias on DVD. Seasons 1, 2 are brilliant, I think. The scenario of Syd as a double agent was perfect. Plus, there was the nice down time with her friends. It was a weird, Buffy-like multi-genre kinda show. Like James Bond mixed with Thirtysomething. Those early seasons are the highlights for me.

The show is still high quality, hasn't quite sharkjumped. But the scenario has changed so much now, don't care as much....will be sad to see it go away though...sigh...

I liked season 1 and 2 of alias. It was a new "action" show and a good one!
But then it became too violent for me... (yes I know...) so I stopped watching it. :(

This is my second favourite show after Veronica Mars, I think it's brilliant! I just bought the first two seasons for christmas but I'm so going to get the complete collection! I'm really sad to know that this one is the last season, but I hope the show ends on it's full force!

Go J.J.!

I have watched since show one. Love the action, gadgets and gizmos, great stories and yeah great eye-candy *ohhh Sydney*. But the writers just kept changing the show's plot-line and I think it took away from the show. Even though ABC kept moving the show to different nights fans followed but in the end the constant change of the show's plot-line for the shock and awe factor, to me anyway, is the reason the show is coming to an end. Someone said canceled it was not canceled it is ending.

Hm, you must be talking about another Veronica Mars than the one I'm watching, lol. 'Cause as far as I know they've only aired one and a half season yet, heh.. And I haven't heard anything about it getting cancelled.

Lol, geeze, that's what I read first time I read that post.. But after reading Allycat's post I was very confused :D

Anyway. I have now seen about 15 episodes of season 4, which I really liked. Now I have finally started watching season one – just saw the first ep –*and it seems just as good. Really like it. The charcaters, music, stories, everything seems cool, yup..

Lol. We all read and understood your post Mr P. It was just EduFonseca's post that got misunderstood for some reason ;)

And internet certainly hated me yesterday.. For hours I couldn't even go online at all :(

I've only seen Alias Season 1 and a few episodes from Season 2. I loved it but I started to get bored of it and missed a few episodes, then when I tried to watch it again I was all confused so I decided not to bother.

I really want the dvd's though. It's another show that's been added to my list. I hope I win the lottery. it's the only way i'm going to be able to afford all the dvd boxsets that I want.

Both BB and AD have been fine for me today but yesterday I had hours where I couldn't get on.

I've been watching my season one DVDs while I was on my trip...it was great to rewatch it. It stings even more now knowing it's ending.

Hey I got Alias season 1 dvd box set yesterday in the sales, only £20 which was a bargain if you ask me.

So i'm watching the pilot as I type. Hehe I love it.
