I love soundtracks.. The ones I listen the most to have to be:
Once More, With Feeling (heh)
Kill Bill (both)
Hair
Amélie
Girl, Interrupted
Pulp Fiction
And lots of other musicals of course...

I would really want an OC soundtrack, since they play great music on that show, mhm..

Neon Genesis Evangelion (all 12 cds - there are only 26 episodes and one movie)
Amélie
Forrest Gump

And not my favourite, but I got Garden State a while back and it's great too!

Pretty much anything by John Carpenter works for me - his music for Halloween is a an absolute must. I really like Mark Mothersbaugh (various Wes Anderson films) and Jon Brion (Magnolia, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, I Heart Huckabees).

If I had to choose a couple of soundtracks I would never be without I guess it would have to be:

I Know What You Did Last Summer
Donnie Darko

Hmm I'd like to add So Weird and The OC. So Weird doesn't have an official soundtrack but the mom in it is an old rock star and there are original songs sung throughout...they're AWESOME. And I watched The OC the other day and remembered that they play awesome music, lol.

The Wall by Pink Floyd!
Originally an album.
Then it was turned into a movie.
Now it is the soundtrack of the century.
Tommy by the Who is the second best. Even though Townsend wrote it as a rock opera I would still have to put it behind Floyd's Wall.

My favorites are Rent, Once More With Feeling (Buffy), Chicago (film), The Woman in White, Mean Girls (:D), Camp, and there are so many others. Mostly musicals for me, I'm an absolute musical fanatic. :D

Now, that I saw the movie Rent, I will have to say I love the music to it, so now I am adding Rent to my soundtrack list.

Well I watched the 2004 remake of The Phantom of the Opera today and I really liked the music. I was really surprised by that too, because I'm typically a rock fan, and PotO is anything but. But my favorite song, "The Phantom of the Opera", sort of has a rock beat to it. :D

And I also liked the instrumental stuff in Kingdom of Heaven.

Are there any good instrumental soundtracks that you guys think I might enjoy?

I have the second Lord of the Rings soundtrack. Love it. I think Enya does some stuff on the 1st one Pry.

Do you like Danny Elfmans' stuff? I love it. Some people may think it's too cartoony, but...

Also, I love John Barry's stuff. He's done Bond films, all kinds of stuff. I love his album for the movie Playing by Heart. It's a lot of Chet Baker jazz, so it might bore some, but...it's got a lot of his scoring too. Good stuff.

I've got Once More With Feeling (Buffy) soundtrack and two Charmed soundtracks. My fave soundtrack is the second Charmed one (The Book Of Shadows) because I really like all of the songs on that CD.
