Yes it does. A friend lent me her DVD recently and I finally got to see the show for the first time. I was surprised just how good it was, bearing in mind some of the mixed reviews it received. It's such a shame it went the way of so many interesting shows in the last few years and got cancelled prematurely.

Yeah the critics were as mean to Tru Calling as they were to Point Pleasant...yet they are both superb shows and I miss both of them very much.

I'm seriously thinking about getting the Chosen Collection... you know that billion dollar complete set. It just irritates me that it's out, with new packaging and all that jazz. I haven't decided yet.

This was in the days before we had cable so we missed the Sky One showings even though we got to see the X-Files/Millenium finale. It will be nice to find out what happened in between.

I don't have that many, just my Lord of the Rings extended editions (all three) technically boxed sets. Also 21 Jump Street season 1 and 3. For some reason the pricing on them are so weird, season 1 and season 3 are cheaper than season 2.

Now i'm not a cheap person but I love my TV so in order to afford it all I wait until they go down.

I also have season 1 of Coupling....Richard Coyle :D Ah how we love Jeff! And of course Firefly and season 3 of Family Guy.

When I get my first pay from my new job (when I obtain one that is) I want to get Greys Anatomy season 1 (see Vil!) and Veronica Mars seasons 1 and 2 are are must.

Well since my trip to Ireland has been postponed, I decided I would buy another DVD. I went to Wal-Mart, hopnig to buy Roar. Much to my disgust, they did not carry it. I was pretty pissed.

So I came home and ordered Grey's Anatomy season 1, and the first season of Hercules: The Legendary Journeys. I'm sort of appalled at myself because Hercules is such a dumb show but it was really cheap, and it's fun to watch...it's just sooo corny I don't know if I'll regret buying it or not.

Prisonbreak Season 1- I only saw the first episode but I can tell that it's a really good show. I like prison shows like that.

King of Queens Season 6- It came out just Tuesday and I couldn't wait to get it. This is one of my favorite season from the show because it has some of the funniest episodes.

Lost Season 1- I haven't seen any of these episodes yet but from what everyone is saying about it, I had to get it.

Veronica Mars Season 1- I saw the first two episodes and I absolutely love this show. I used to watch it on TV sometimes but I never really got into it. I would have bought season 2 bevause of the Charisma goodness but I wanted to start the show from the beginning. That and also because this one was on sale for twenty dollars.

Okay, sorry for the double post but I just got some new boxsets. I bought Veronica Mars Season 2 and Lost Season 2. I'm so excited. :)

Gosh, this thread made me think about what I have on DVD....and now I know where all my money goes, LOL!

I have all the seasons of Buffy, Angel, and La Femme Nikita, all of Firefly, seasons 1 and 2 of The Nanny, and seasons 1 - 3 of MI:5 (or Spooks as it's called in the UK.) I've been waiting for them to release s4 on DVD, but I haven't checked in a while, so don't know if it's out yet. Speaking of that.....I'm heading off to amazon.co.uk right now.......

I personally really enjoyed Roswell, I own all three seasons on DVD, and prior to the mass of TV on DVD, just a few years ago, I'd had all three seasons on video tape. *L* I used to record SOOO many TV shows on VHS. Now I can just buy them all on DVD. Well, mostly. I'm still waiting for the rest of Silk Stalkings on DVD, and Kung Fu: The Legend Continues. (I had a bit of a Chris Potter obsession for a while, he's still pretty hot at like 47 now *L*)

Let me ask you something. What exactly is the motivation for buying seasons out of order? I know a lot of people do it but for some reason I just can't bring myself to do that. I did it with Bones recently (I have s2 but not s1) but that was only because I wanted to catch up with it ASAP. But usually I *have* to buy seasons in order. My favorite seasons of The X-Files are six and seven but I don't own them yet, I own 1-5 (and the first season is my least favorite) but I have to buy them and watch them in order.

Maybe I just have some form of OCD or something. :)

I'd definitely recommend it GB.

The visuals are eye-popping, and I don't just mean Jessica. The action scenes are top-knotch. The writing isn't old, even though it's been borrowed from shamelessly. You'll see a lot of stuff you've seen since, but that's because of it's influence.

It's great for multiple viewings, and actor spotting. Hey there's Sock. There's Sock's ex-girlfriend. There's Jensen Ackles.

I've added allot more non Sci-fi/Fantasy TV, Been really getting into Arrested Development, Six Feet Under, Weeds and Boston Legal lately!

I got Dark Angel 1 and 2. It's not exactly what I was imagining. I was expecting something even more sci-fi, dystopian. The acting's kind of average. That said, I like most of the characters. Most of the stories have been pretty entertaining. I like that Max has a weakness, with the seizures. And that she's slightly quirky and maladjusted cos of her childhood. The action/fights are actually good for TV. I like whatever is or isn't going on between Logan and Max (I'm..3/4ths of the way through Season 1). Plus, Alba. Never get sick of watching her.

It's like nostalgic comfort food, watching this show (even though I'd never seen an ep before).

Yeah Dark Angel could have stood to be a little darker. In season two the dystopian thing is even more downplayed because of 9/11.

The show is good though, I like it's quirkiness.

Just wait until season two, it gets way weirder.

No, I like Angel. For some reason i haven't gotten the box sets yet. Eveytime I go to but them I see something I would prefer for the moment and end up buying it instead, i will buy it soon though.

Im rewatching season 2 of Dark Angel at the moment, it's different from season 1 but stil so good!

While I was in Hollywood I bought the first two seasons of Dawson's Creek...Wal-Mart was running a sale and they were only $14. And then someone just gave me the third season of Xena. :)

I wish I had "Freaks and Geeks" and "Undeclared"...but even used at Amazon they're a little expensive. I guess they're worth the money...both are amazing shows, but still...

I do not buy boxsets we have a video store that rents complete series but I found this very 'disturbing'. Last year my dad said he would like to have the Get Smart boxset. So it was his birthday and I got it for him for $100. This year with the release of the movie the same boxset is now going for $200. Ripoff or what?

There are video stores here too with complete boxsets but to me it's just not the same at all...I want to own a show that I like.

Anyway, I can't blame them for hiking the price up to capitalize on the movie...most people would do it. But if people were smart they could just look on Amazon (esp the used section) or Ebay.
