TV Guide reported that Paul Reubens (Pee-wee Herman) has signed to appear in ABC's upcoming fantasy series Pushing Daisies.

Reubens will play the potentially recurring role of Alfredo Aldarisio, a traveling homeopathic antidepressant representative/salesman, the site's "Ask Ausiello" column reported.

Pushing Daisies, from Bryan Fuller (Dead Like Me), stars Lee Pace as a young man who can bring things back to life with one touch and make them dead again with a second. The hourlong show will also star Anna Friel, Kristin Chenoweth, Chi McBride, Swoosie Kurtz and Ellen Green. It premieres Oct. 3 and will air Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
