Has anyone seen the movie yet? I have and it was awesome! Especially the big fight scene. Very reminiscient of the big fight scene from LOTR: Return of the King. It was very cool. It followed the book very closely and I don't think that they left too much out, or even changed that much.

Oh good - cause I keep flip flopping on whether I want to see it. I just reread the book as well.

Well, I'm pretty sure you won't be disappointed. I wasn't. And I'm usually very disappointed on book-based movies.

I had heard that it was really bad, most of my friends where really disappointed.. But I honestly loved it. Some things were not as perfect as they maybe could have been.. But it looked good and it was very Narnia.. Loved the books and read them oh so many times when I was a kid... (Wanted to reread before I saw the movie but couldn't fin the book at the library..)

Well, I haven't heard one person who liked the book say that it was bad. It was much better than the newest Harry Potter movie in my opinion. And I recommend the books to anyone who hasn't read them. Even if you aren't a Christian you can find something to love about them. I did, and I am so not a Christian. Not that there is anything wrong with that. No-siree-Bob. Completely fine, some of my best friends are Christians.
Okay, I have to cut the rambling out. I'm really gonna stop now. Yes I am. Now. Okay, now. Urgh...

We took a couple of the grandkids last weekend and everyone from seven to much, much older thoroughly enjoyed it. I thought the adaptation stayed remarkably faithful to the book. Mrs P said she liked it better than Goblet of Fire...
It was very well filmed and paced, the CGI was great, the cast were excellent (especially the girl playing Lucy and the very scary Tilda Swinton as the Witch and (much as LOTR before) it made me want to move to New Zealand...actually if it hadn't been for my arrival, my brother and sister would've been Kiwis, as my parents were planning to emigrate there - something my bruv never forgets to remind me about :)

I finally saw it! My mom and I went to it yesterday night, it was awesome. I liked it WAY better than the Harry Potter films, to tell you the truth. I was surprised Disney didn't make them downplay the Christian themes, but they didn't, and I'm glad. But you won't have to be Christian to enjoy the film - it's absolutely GREAT.
