I Hate Double-Sided DVDs!

Arg! What is the freaking POINT?! You do not even NEED widescreen AND fullscreen! In 2009 analogue TVs will be pretty much obselete and the majority of America will get HDTV - NO FULLSCREEN.

They also get scratched easily. And then - when you have to rub them off you end up touching the disc and getting your fingerprints on it...you don't have to be as careful with single-sided DVDs.

Also...where's the art? lol I know that's not a huge deal but sorry, I love disc art.

I just think double-sided DVDs are HORRIBLE. I wish I could destroy the person who thought them...UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have to agree I got a few new dvd's the other day and most of them are double sided! What's the point? Also how the hell do you know which side is which!! I have ok eyesight so after staring at it for about 20 mins I can finally work it out. But what if you are short sighted! I borrowed my friends FRIENDs dvd's the other week and I kept putting the wrong side on! In the end I gave up. I wanted to watch the episodes in linear order not watch them all mixed up.

So vent away my friend I agree with you, they are majorly annoying!

Oh! And it took me a month to figure out how 20th Century labeled their Widescreen and Full Screen sides. Lol. I would always put it in...sit through an eternity of warnings and animated menus...and then have to take it out and turn it over! UGH!

They're definitely annoying. Just put in a second disc... charge us for it if you must! Just don't give us double-sided!

Yeah, double sided discs suck. They get messed up easily and smudged too. I'm also a person that likes the disc art because usually the art on the disc is even better looking than the one on the DVD case.

I wish Buffy and Angel's box and disc art were as awesome.

Lol. I was going through my collection and noticed how many damned DVDs were widescreen...I almost flipped. I have a lot of replacing to do but I'll probably wait until the Blu-Ray things come out.

i actually hate widescreen i dont know why it just annoys the hell out of me, and i mean i hate doubled sided dvds cause you always put the damn thing in wrong, makes me wanna scream personally.. lol

Actually I have a fullscreen TV (we're getting an HDTV soon tho!), but my DVD player is set to play all widescreen DVDs to that...fullscreen looks claustrophobic and I utterly DESPISE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol :)

yeah but i have a fullscreen t.v not one of those cool widescreen ones! I'm cheap lol i dont wanna spend 500 bucks on a t.v i mean but on a fullscreen t.v it sucks!

haha! I used to be that way but we watched a lot of NBC for a while and I got used to it...now i like the black, lol, and it doesn't distract me.

I have a widescreen TV, but I have to put it on fullscreen-mode when I'm watching DVDs with friends cause it has a tendency to cut off the subtitles. Now, I personally don't mind, but some of my friends do.
