Okay, so let's pretend, that Dean and Sam's beloved 1967 Chevrolet Impala had suddenly died. There was no way to fix or repair it. The only option is to buy a new car, and money is no problem. What would you like to see them drive?

I don't really like the Impala. It's OK, I guess. Not something I would ever willingly buy.
There's no doubt what car I would choose for them to have. A 67 Mustang. I love Mustangs. LOVE them. I even own one. Wish I owned two more.
In fact, the ORIGINAL plan was for them to have a Mustang, but Kripke's STUPID neighbor changed his mind. I guess it's OK because the Impala's trunk can fit all their weapons...but still...I'm sorry, but that Impala has nothing on a Stang.

The Impala dies??? And money is no problem in buying a new car??? NO BRAINER buy another Impala!!!
As much as I respect your love for the Mustang Pry I just can't see it. And a lot of shows and movies think so as well. Bullit put the Mustang into that mythological category that would be considered sacrilidge if it was used. And other then Steve McQueen who can drive a Mustang as good as Steve McQueen?

What do you mean "And a lot of shows and movies think so as well?" lol
Lots of shows feature Mustangs, like Night Stalker (2005)...that was a beautiful car. And the new Knight Rider has a Shelby Mustang, which looks AMAZING. *sigh*
If I ever become a show creator, EVERY single show I make will have one. :D
^^ Plus I Am Legend, can't believe you didn't mention that one.
I'm with the titan. Love the Impala. I want one...when I start a car collection or something ;)

You...traitor.
See if you ever ride in my Mustang. -_- lol
Silly boy - as much as I adore you, if it's a choice between Dean & his Impala or you & your mustang....I'd probably pick the Impala. But don't worry, I'm sure I'll be in your Mustang soon enough. ;)

I love classic Mustangs... but I think there is a point, the Impala is just bigger and 'badder' than a 'fun little Mustang'... thus I think it fits the show and Dean better. I'd say get another Impala. But they should never kill that Impala. *L* But if it had to be, I'd say another Impala, or something big like that. I think Kripke's neighbor had a point, what with the you can put a body in there thing... which actually, there's an implication I think in Croatoan, that Dean did infact put the body of the husband of that woman in the trunk to get over to the little doctor's office. *L*

If a Mac truck T-bones the Impala at the end of season 1 and the Impala never died then in my mind the Impala will NEVER die. Could you imagine how much of a wee little mustang would have been left if it had of been T-boned by a mac truck? The little horsey emblem might have survived but odds are it would have had a broken leg and it would have to of been shot to put it out of it's misery. You know do the humanitarian thing.

Oo, yeah, that wouldn't have been a good scene in a Mustang. I think they all may have died then and there, along with the car. But the Impala's a beast. That's why it's perfect. It's not a gorgeous pony (which the Mustang is). I'm not dissing Mustangs, trust me, I ooo everytime I see a nice classic one on the road. But it just ain't the badass that the Impala is. That thing is a beast, in a very good way. *L* Gotta have Impala love. *L* :)

I guess you have a point, but I would never ever want to own that huge beast of a car. It looks like something a serial killer would drive to me. I mean, sometimes I *do* think it's pretty cool, but it's ugly as eff.
A Pontiac GTO...those are OK, I suppose...but come on, it's a Pontiac. I dunno about the old ones but nowadays Pontiacs are like the worst GM cars you can buy, along with Saturns.

A 67' GOAT was too square in appearence in a small chasis meant for mass production for the public. Now the 69' had that streamlined rounded look yet still small in size. When you want a muscle car that can take a beating the Impala is the choice. GTO's had the big engine but the small frame and body plus after a hard day of demon fighting you just can't stretch out and sleep comfortably in a GTO like you can in an Impala. So in the world of demon hunting you need a lot of steel around you that gives you that comfy tank feeling especially when some hell bent demon wants to play bumper car with you. lol
