I was totally glued to this one. Intensity and a little humor, and this 'whoa' kind of feeling at the end. *L*

It was good. Felt like mini movie in a way. And "Lilith" is creepy. Another creepy evil little girl. I assume we'll be seeing more of her. Is it supposed to be the Lilith? From the Bible...

Lilith vs Sam is going to be a real interesting confrontation. I'm real curious how this one will be fought from a visual point of view man vs little girl.
So if Bella does not have a client lined up for the gun then why steal it? Bella is getting to be one damn curious character.
Loved how Sam was all aloof when Dean found out about Lilith from Ruby not Sam. I see a big change in Sam's character and it is going to culminate with a total off the wall, insane move by Sam.
Oh and what freaked me out was how Lilith's eyes went white. Not a colour one would expect.

Yeah, we had 'yellow eyes' on, well 'yellow eyed demon' aka Azazel. The Crossroads went red. Everyone else is black. White was cool. I just went 'whoa' when that happened. When she came in, I was like 'uh oh, bet that's 'Lily'. But I didn't expect the white eyes and the total incinceration of everyone. That was wild. *L* It was a very cool episode though. Sam definitely kind of gave me the creeps there. And apparently they really should have listened to Ruby. *L* It was exciting though, and I am glad that it sounds like there will be a few more episodes this season, since the strike has ended. And it better come back next season, because this is just too engrossing, I have to know how it all plays out. *L*

Should have listened to Ruby!?! Like that idea isn't going to come up again. I'm just wondering how the writers are going to cut Lilith's pure heart out to kill all the demons that escaped the gate?

Lilith's pure heart? Huh?
This was a good episode. In fact, a great one, probably one of the best ever made for the show. But I'm glad it no longer is serving for a season finale.
Good humor, suspense, good effects considering their budget nowadays, VERY interesting developments with the mythology.
Edit:
Oh and goldenboy I am assuming that yes, it is the Lilith from the alternate Eden story. I think they're getting a lot of source material from the Bible and Apocrypha and such, and they've mentioned Lucifer, and Sam is supposedly the Antichrist....

Lilith's pure heart? Huh?
Pure heart as in Lilith is a little girl so it is safe to assume she is a virgin. The main ingredient for Ruby's spell to kill all demons within a 1 mile radius.
I'm just guessing this spell is going to be used and when the big throw down starts so a little girl will be the best candidate as the only virgin in the middle of the battle.
And I'm with you Pry I am so glad that this show is not the season ender. Now that the Lilith has been introduced the 4 or 5 shows that they are going to do will be focused and tightly written and not drawn out like with yellow eyes.

Most fans seem to think Lilith will get a new host body, most likely a sexy older woman. I personally hope she does, as the evil little girl routine is a bit cliche.
And there are lots of attractive older women in this world who are virgins (by choice). Lilith would just need to find a religious girl like Nancy. ;)
I finally got caught up. I had to watch the finale, and this one. I liked this one better. The finale was good too. I agree with Pry though. This was one of the best so far, maybe the best.
Interesting moral dilemma. Even knowing everything we now know, should they have killed the virgin?
Dean's statement of "if we do, we're no better than them" sounded pretty good at the time. On the other hand if their moral compasses are governed by fighting the war for humanity, when the virgin volunteered didn't she become part of the army, and isn't sacrifice part of the game of war. What I mean is would they be breaking the rules to allow a soldier to volunteer to sacrifice to help win the battle?

Yeah, in hind sight, it seemed like perhaps Ruby was right, and the girl did say she was willing. And Spock always said the good of the many outweights the good of the one. But I guess that's the trouble of a color world, nothing is just black and white, and they're trying to do what's 'right'. But they just didn't fully 'grasp' the scope of what was really going on. They and we are still getting a hold on just how 'big' this war is.

I thought that was a really good thing that came out of this episode...not that everyone died, but that Sam and Dean tried to do the right thing and keep everyone alive but in the end their good intentions cost everyone their lives. And trust Ruby to say 'I told you so.'
I was a little freaked at Lilith's eyes going white instead of black. She must be one unique demon!!
