Great ep. Some touching scenes. I wanted to see Summer really turn it on with her ballet, but maybe her foots still bothering her.

Yeah. It's nice they could work in Summer's ballet skills. It really does seem like Cameron's just trying to learn, improve herself. Now, whether or not that's related to her tech collecting...

It's cool. If you know the films well, you can hear familiar dialogue every other ep. Like in the videotape, when Sarah's talking to her shrink.

That was good casting, using that dude that played the senator in the X-Men films as Sarah's shrink.

I found this episode weak. It was nothing more then a fill in the blanks from the second movie. The signing off parental rights, the doc ending up in the mental institution, mother and son bonding took up too much of the episode. It should have got minimal screen time and the focus should have been more on the Reese/Cameron friction. If the writers of the show continue to 'rub' story lines from the movie this series is going to fall into the toilet. I want new material not recycled material that has a bit of polish on it.

It was the closest thing this show does to a standalone ep I guess. The background on Sarah and John is good for Terminator newbs I suppose.

Wonder if the shrink is gonna have any relevance going forward, or if he's in the loony bin for good.

Was that final look on Derek's face supposed to be wonderment or disgust (when he was watching Cameron dance)? Maybe he's just conflicted.

That is what should have been the focus of the show...the friction between them. They teased us last week with the flashback episode and their confrontation, teased us this week with Derek saying to John you don't know what you do in a room (reference to last weeks room with the music) when you are alone.
Next week is a two hour epi so I hope there is no more reference's or loose ends from the movies the writers lean on. They have done enough stories/plot points to start letting the series stand on it's own. Cameron stealing the micro chip and metal, hunting down the Turk, Sarah saving the FBI agent in the fire, etc.
