Just read on tv guide online that Reaper has not been renewed for a season 2. The suits are waiting to see what the tv #'s are going to be when the show comes back in April.
Hope it gets the numbers because I it is a funny show and it is different that the devil is the one to point out the moral of the story is...

The only way I'd want this renewed is if they heavily changed the format next season. The formula is very tiring. They're wasting Bret Harrison.

Yeah, I really hope that this show makes it because I love Bret! I think that the show is funny and I like to watch so yeah hope it goes on to a season 2!
Just read this on EZTV :) :-
Cult drama Reaper has lived to a second season, The CW confirmed Monday.
Low-rated but critically acclaimed, the series had been expected to be axed but was thrown a lifeline as the network prepared to announce its 2008-09 lineup.
The show has been given a 13-episode pickup for midseason, most likely replacing Smallville to partner Supernatural on Thursday nights.

Just to back up edb...I saw this on Dreamwatch
The CW has given a last minute reprieve to Reaper, whose fate was undecided until Monday night. The series has received a 13 episode midseason renewal, allowing it to try to increase its ratings beyond its fan appeal.

I'm glad that it's been given another chance, even if it is only 13 episodes. :) And thanks for the link Mr.P, there wasn't an actual link to the source where EZTV had gotten the info from, and I was too lazy to look it up 'lol' ;)

NOT THE DREADED MID-SEASON PICKUP!!! It's Jericho all over again. When are these pinhead tv execs going to learn making a show go away for 8/9 months it is going to generate fan interest? Play the 13 episodes at the beginning of the year if it gains fans pick up more series if it doesn't cancel it and throw a NEW show in at mid-season. Is there no more common sense???? The wheel is still round so why are these tv goofballs still trying to re-invent it?!?
