I haven't seen any of the Terminator movies. I'm watching episode 7 right now. And I was just wondering something.

They bring up the Bible and the whole thing with Sarah Connor and revelations and stuff. So I'm just wondering if the story has any kind of supernatural elements like destiny and stuff like that or is it just a straight sci-fi with the only "out there" aspects being advanced robots and time travel?

Although I guess any "prophecies" could be explained with time travel.

No, the movies are pretty much straight sci-fi. Sarah does have an apocalyptic dream (just like in the TV pilot), where you see the beginning of a nuclear holocaust.

I don't recall her bringing up scripture in T2. Hmm. The show is bringing in all these allusions to literature, the Bible, etc. It's interesting.

And well, there's the whole John Connor/Jesus Christ thing people like to bring up.

Well there is a running theme in the first two movies. It's a message from John to John but thru his father and mother about destiny is what you make.
