I enjoyed it even though it really wasn't a good episode in terms of plot, but the highlights that made me enjoy it were The Doctor pointing a Gun to General Cobbs head, now that stunned me and I don't blame him really,I thought for a moment he was overwhelmed by his grief, but then we see it was really just him getting angry and proving a piont just so General Cobb could be shocked into some sort of shame.
Anyway I was dissapointed he didn't see her come back, really wanted him to know that there was a part of him out there somewhere that says he has some sort of family around! That alone gives it a 3 stars from me and the other dissapointment was the weak plot, the solution was actually an atmospheric alteration device that gives everyone a chance to start agian after their "war" is ended! Jeez!
I don't see the point explained in the plot for the war in the first place had any oomph to it.
BUT I enjoyed it just for the Doc bonding with his daughter and facing upto himself just for once! DT was superb during the final scenes.
That's what made like it I guess..
Catherine Tate's Donna was supberb in this being the much need concience that the Doc badly needed! She got him to listen to her hearts! Beautiful moment and one that sticks in my head alot.Made him face up to the fact that she is a part of him regardless of how she came to be, bacause he'd lost his family he couldn't face it again, but Donna made him!
